Senn shivered as he curled up against a nearby tree, his body fitting loosely within a large indent grown into the tree, his knees brought to his chest in an attempt to preserve body heat.
Despite the fire that roared only feet away the wind bit him like a snake, The ardoni's shivering catching the attention of his magnorite companion who has been happily reading his book on the opposite side of Senn.
Igneous furrowed his brows and let off a distant hum, his book being placed to the side as he got up and approached the clanless ardoni, watching his ears twitch and flick in his direction before Senn opened his eyes and turned his head to Igneous, both their eyes meeting and they froze in place.
"Heya there Senn, you look cold..." He pointed out, chuckling at Senn's eye-roll followed by a look that sneered 'obviously'
"Wouldn't it be better to come closer to the fire? I'm sure you'd be warmer."
"I'd be overheating if I were to sleep there, plus the ground is just uncomfortable, so many rocks..."
Senn gazed towards the bare ground, few clumps of grass growing within the area, rocks covering the ground in its place.
How did Igneous find that comfortable? He was a magnorite... right. Of course that would be comfortable to him...
Igneous stared at the smaller man and raised his brows before smiling kindly at the other, "shall I suggest A second option?.." He hummed, watching the Ardoni's gaze search him quickly before nodding hesitantly, pulling his legs closer to his body as a second wind came by.
The magnorite smiled at this agreement and he crawled into the indent with Senn slowly and sat with him there, opening his arms to the shivering Ardoni.
Senn seemed hesitant at first, his gaze darting around the trees quickly before he pushed forward and wrapped his arms around Igneous, a low purr rumbling in his chest as he felt the warmth against his body.
The heat wrapping him like a cozy blanket, it wasn't too overpowering which was a surprised, he'd always assumed Igneous to be well.. like magma but he was instead... hotter... than the normal persons body heat.
Senn gasped and purred some more as he felt Igneous's fingers run through his light grey hair, pushing away loose hairs and scratching around his horns and ears. His eyes drooped and soon closed as this continued on, the white Ardoni finding himself drifting to sleep within his companions arms, and so he did, his breathing slowing down and keeping steady as he would occasionally snuggle closer to Igneous.
They stayed like that the entire night, Igneous keeping up the entire time and protecting the more fragile creature from the cold around them. It was a lovely time for Igneous the feeling of someone in his arms mostly foreign to him.. It made him feel good, it made his heart fly like a rocket.
"Sweet dreams..."
Igneous whispered as he pushed some more strands from Senn's face, a small press of his lips meeting senn's forehead, his face lighting up a little bit brighter as Senn shifted and held him tighter.
