One Month, 28 Days

Third Person P.O.V.

Stiles was driving Lydia back home. After what had happened just a couple minutes before, Stiles felt so angry. How could someone so stupid hurt Lydia like that? Stiles just wanted that guy behind bars for what he did.

They arrived at Lydia's house, and Lydia didn't even notice it. She just stared blankly at the glove compartment in front of her.

Stiles took Lydia's hand, and squeezed it with his own.

In a soft whisper he said,"Lydia we're at your house now." But Lydia didn't respond, just kept on staring.

If Stiles had a clue what was going on through Lydia's head at that moment, he wouldn't hesitate to ask his Dad to find the punk for them. But Stiles couldn't read Lydia's expression well enough to know that, he thought she was on the verge of crying or punching his Jeep.

When a tear slid down Lydia's cheek, Stiles didn't hesitate wiping it off with his thumb.

"Can you please stay over? I know it's a lot to ask, but please." Lydia was so scared and afraid, she would be alone at home, her parents were traveling for business purposes, and Lydia didn't want the events to recur. "Please Stiles." Lydia said in a whisper. She was begging for him to stay, something she doesn't do a lot with other guys.

"I'll stay." That's all Stiles said, nothing more, nothing less. He knew he had to be strong for Lydia for her sake. Even though it was a school night, Stiles knew he was going to have to skip it for tomorrow. It's not like his Dad would care if he missed a day, as long as he kept straight A's he would be fine, and it's not like Lydia's grades would be affected at all. She was way ahead of her whole entire class.

Stiles got out his Jeep, and walked to Lydia's side. He opened the door for her, and wrapped his arm around her waist. Lydia felt protected when Stiles had his arm around her. Lydia studied Stiles' face as they walked towards the front door. He looked mad, and at the same time safe. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes held fury and at the same time can make you feel fuzzy in the inside.

Lydia never noticed this until right now, and it made her wonder how exactly did Stiles not get on her radar before.

When they reached the door, Lydia fumbled with the keys in her hand. She could barely get the key into the key hole, she always missed it.

For what seem like the 14th time she tried, Stiles took the key from her hands, and unlocked the door. They both went upstairs, and Stiles knew that Lydia just wanted to forgot what had happened. So when he saw the Notebook nearby on a desk, he picked it up and put it in the DVD, already trying to start the movie.

Stiles knew the Notebook was Lydia's all time favorite movie, and even though he hated anything with romance, Stiles was willing to watch it to make Lydia happy.

Lydia dressed out of her clothes, not in front of Stiles of course, and climbed into her bed. Stiles looked around room, to find there's no chairs or spots to sit sat besides the floor or bed.

"I'm just going to sit here." Stiles said. Stiles sat in front of the Tv screen, and on the floor. He knew it would be too much to ask to sit with Lydia on the bed. Lydia wanted Stiles to be next to her, because she felt more safer, but she had just remembered the dare, and had let Stiles sit there. Stiles wasn't going to be anymore than just some guy that she helped rise their status in this world, Lydia thought. Just one month and 28 days to go.

Throughout half way through the movie, Stiles could hear a faint snore in the back. He turned around and saw that Lydia fell asleep. To Stiles, Lydia looked so at peace and beautiful at the same time. He got up from his spot and tucked Lydia in, while turning off the Tv.

He brushed away few strands of hair away from her face, and was about to kiss her forehead, but decided not to. He didn't want to take advantage of Lydia, even though the action was really small, he didn't want to do anything when she felt so vulnerable.

"Goodnight Lydia. Sweet dreams." Stiles said a in soft whisper.

He made his way to Lydia's door, and opened it. He closed the door behind him quietly and walked towards the living where Stiles slept on an uncomfortable couch the whole night.
