Anthony's POV
A week later and nothing had changed between Jaden and Lily. Lily was still closed off, walking around the house like an empty capsule, like there wasn't actually anything going on inside of her. Sure, she smiled and pretended she was fine, but it was obvious it was fake. I was torn between confronting her or waiting to see how this played out.
I was drawn out of my thoughts by the familiar light footsteps of Lily walking down the stairs, and to my surprise she was dressed, signalling she was going out.
"Oh, morning Ant." She greeted, not expecting to see me awake so early, not realizing everyone in the Sway house had been thrown off in one way or another by Jaden and her suddenly falling out- it just wasn't normal, despite him living without her before, imagining Jaden without Lily was just unnatural now, and the same went for imagining Lily without Jaden.
I gave her the best smile I could muster as I replied, "Morning, Lil. Where you going?"
"Oh, I'm just going to hang with Payt, he invited me over. I'm pretty sure I'll be back tonight though." She explained and I just nodded in reply, not wanting to tell her that I thought that was a bad idea. Everyone had picked up on it at one point or another, well, everyone but Lily that was, but it was kind of obvious that Payton had a thing for her."Okay, have fun." "I will, see ya, Ant."
With that she left, and again I was left with my thoughts. I needed to fix this, before things got worse.
Lily's POV
Payton had invited me to hang out for the day, claiming that he had a list of things for us to do which would take my mind off of everything. This was why I loved Payton. Staying at the Sway house, pretending to be fine was getting exhausting.
I pulled up at Payton's house, and as Payton was already waiting on his porch for me, it didn't take him long to get into the passenger seat of my car, pecking my cheek after closing the door and grabbing his seatbelt.
"So, where to first?" I wondered, considering he hadn't actually told me anything over text. With a small smirk as he clipped his seatbelt, he replied, "The mall. I'm taking you shopping first, we can get matching hoodies-" "Getting matching hoodies isn't going to stop me from stealing yours." I cut him off, laughing a bit, though I wasn't joking with what I'd said. I would steal his hoodie regardless of if we had the exact same one or not.
He laughed too, rolling his eyes playfully, "Okay, I'll get two of the same hoodie so they're both technically mine." He corrected, and I nodded in approval of his idea.

Shopping with Payton was actually pretty fun. He didn't mind how long I took, he wouldn't nag at me to hurry up and choose something, mostly because he was the exact same. We'd bought the matching hoodies (and whilst they were 'his', I still paid for one of them), we'd gotten some other clothes that semi-matched and now I was looking at the makeup in Sephora.
I groaned as I began to run out of swatching room on my hand. I was looking for one specific shade of lipstick, something pink but not too light, I wanted it darker than my actual lip colour but still natural looking... I basically wanted Nikkitutorials natural lip colour in lipstick form.
"What's up?" Asked Payton, who was stood next to me and obviously heard me groan in protest at my stupid hands. With a sheepish smile I looked up, and gestured to my hand that was covered in lines of different colours. He laughed and shook his head before rolling up his sleeves.
"Use me." He told me, extending his arm towards me, and I smiled pretty wide at that, my eyes pretty much saying 'awe' for me.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, go on. I don't mind." He insisted, and I couldn't stop myself from grinning as I nodded and grabbed another lipstick from the tester section.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed, quickly pecking his cheek, leaving a lipstick print on his cheek which made him giggle a bit as he flushed, not that I paid too much attention as I began to make lines on his hand with the lipstick.
