Take care, Mama." I said, as we embraced each other quickly another fiftieth time. Tears running down her cheeks reminding me that she's saying goodbye to her only child.

"Remember to call me as soon as you get to your new apartment," she sobbed. "Okay baby. I know your gonna do great at school. You already made me so proud."

With those words. My heart ached and I couldn't help feel the tears escape my eyes. "Okay Mama." We heard the last call for the train to depart and we both looked at each other. I hugged her deeply. Not knowing when I'll be able to see her again. " I love you Mama." I walked on to the train turned back and waved bye to her. She waved back mouthing I love you back as the train started moving to my destination.

As I woke up the train finally stopped. Wow. I'm finally here. Now breathe. Breathe. You can do this! I mean your only 256 miles or so away from home. No biggie. Small town girl meets big city, happens all the time. In movies. Said my sashfierce to Beyonce. Oh, shut up. I replied. Breathe, I repeated to myself.

I walked out of the station and my eyes bulged out of their soccets. Welcome to mars. First thing i saw were tall buildings everywhere, I can see three traffic lights within one block. We had one traffic light in my hometown, for the entire town. I looked around and only saw a few green shrubs and trees freckeld alonged the streets filled with never ending cars. I've never seen so many cars in my life and so many people.

Well I better start looking for my new home. I took out the map and started my way to Sunshine Complex.

Finally, I found my studio. Looks like the movers haven't arrive yet. Oh well, gives me more time to figure out where everything should go. It's not like I have a lot of stuff in general but still. The studio complex was two stories tall. Five doors filled the top of the building and five downstairs. In the middle was a staircase no handles to support you but brick walls. Across the street was a miniature park which was nice. I miss the green stuff.

After talking to the manager my room number was six. Top left corner of the complex. As I started walking up the stairs. I heard someone scream, "Watchout!" What? Boink. I felt a stinging pain on my forhead and I touched the warm moisture I felt coming down my face. Oh no, please don't let it be what I think it is. I slowly let down my hand and there it was......blood. Dizziness started filling up my mind. "Are you okay?" Someone asked. I tried to respond but the darkness fell on me and I could feel someone's warm hands catch me.

My eyes fluttered back open. I panicked when I realized i was laying in someone's bed. All the blood ran up my head and I sat back down, then I remembered. I took a huge gulped and touched forehead. It was bandaged.

"Hello, You finally woke up." The man's voiced said.

I looked up and saw him. His hair was all wet as if he just took a shower. Black, wavy and thick. He was sitting in a black chair tilting his head to the side and staring deeply into my eyes. His eyes. Wow, beautiful hazel with a hint of bronze gold covered with thick long black lashes. I licked my lower lip, subconsciously and his eyes followed them. When he looked back up to my eyes. His look intensified could even say darkened.

"Do you remember what happened to you?" He asked.

I shooked my head side to side. I couldn't force the words out of my mouth.

He sighed and ran his long fingers through his hair. Oh how I wish I could do that. Wait what was I thinking. Shoo sasha.

"You were hit by a ceiling tile. While walking up the stairs. Were you visiting someone in this complex?"

"Actually no. I live here now. Room number 6." I informed him.

His lower lip twitched up into a smirk" Is that so, well welcome to the neighborhood. I'm room number seven." He reached out his hand.

I reached out and took his hand. As soon as our skinned touched I felt electricity run down my body. I flinched back and felt my face blushing.

I looked up at him and i swear i saw his eyes just for a moment changed into a darker shade. He rolled is chair closer to me until he and I were face to face with each other. I could feel his breath on mine. Smell his scent of soap and lavender. How delecious.

" How are you feeling miss...."

" Mi...a." I breathed " Mia is my name."

"Well Mia" He pronounced my name with more emphasis. "Nice to meet you. My name is Augusten." He smirked.

"Uhm... nice to meet you Augusten." I gulped. Real nice. You can say that again.

He leaned in closer and I couldn't help but repeat what he was doing. My heart felt like is was about to burst out of my chest into his arms. Burning desire consumed my whole body and I couldn't help but feel my gut clenched as i squirmed my legs together on the bed.

Was this really happening. I knew if I tilt my head upwards our lips would touch. I bit my lip and I felt his warm breathe crawl down my spine as his breathe grew harsher. This is it. My.....

*Knock knock* We both jumped out from our seats breaking the spell we had under each other. He coughed and walked to the door. Opened it and yelled, "What!"

The person at the door coughed. "Hello Mr. Sol. Just wanted to see how Ms. Fuentes was doing and to let her know the movers are all done."

His face went back to his cool self. "Of course, Manager. Come on in."

I got up and fixed my clothes trying my hardest to turn my face back to its beige color.

As he walked in he said, "Ms. Fuentes how are you feeling. I'm so sorry that you went through this the first day you moved in. I already have maintenance on it."

"I'm feeling fine. Just a little headache. Uhm what about the movers." I asked him.

"Oh yes. While you were....in your condition. I let them in and dropped off your stuff. I hope you don't mind, I thought it be easier on you. I'm glad your feeling better." He smiled.

" Thank you. Of course I don't mind."

"Okay well I'm off now. Just wanted to check in. If there's anything you need Ms. Fuentes please let me know. " He shooked my hand and left.

Augusten was staring off in space. His eyebrows were furrowed like he was deep in thought. It almost looked like he was angry. I awkwardly stood there for a moment swaying foot to foot. Okay I can't do this anymore.

"Okay." I said, " I should probably leave I have a lot of unpacking to do."

He snapped out of whatever world he was in and stared at me "Would you like me to help you?" He asked.

"Oh no. I'm fine, thank you though." I stepped out of his studio.

He leaned against his door as he saw me walked to my door. To think I'm literally a wall away from this man. Who's made me feel things I've never felt before. On top of that. Blush. As I managed to jingled the door open I heard him call.

"Mia if you need any help with anything. I'm a doorknob away." He smirked.

"Well that's very neighborally of you." I smiled. And closed the door as I heard him chuckled.

I lean against my door and finally let out my breath. I didn't even realized I was holding it in. Okay heart. Get your shit together. It's not everyday you come in contact with a man. That's it. Nothing special to it all. Well I have to admit he was beautiful. I looked around my studio and let out a grunt. Shit. Better get started.

Hello everybody this is my first book. :)

EEK! Super nervous and super excited to hear everybodies feedback.

I hope you enjoy every moment Mia and Augusten share. ;)

Love , Ms. Anon.
