I battle a hydra

I woke up to my alarm clock beeping in my ear. "Honey it's time to wake up." My mom called from the kitchen. "Ok mom hold on." I groaned and stumbled out of my memory foam bed. I never am excited about school. First I can't read because of my dyslexia and also I have ADHD which sucks because I can't sit still or be still. My only favorite subject at school is P.E. which I can let all my energy out and don't have to be still. It was my last day. YES bonus and my step dad is gone. Double bonus! "Okay mom I'm ready!" "Ok honey just come out here breakfast is ready!" "Ok." I was wearing my denim jeans with my gray sweater and a solid black shirt with knee high black fuzzy boots. The perfect outfit for Christmas Break. It was weird my school starts up in the fall and ends in the winter. I ran down the stairs to our amber painted kitchen. My mom made bacon, eggs, and pancakes for breakfast. "Mom, you know I won't have time to eat ALL of this." "I know that's why I put less on your plate." My mom had that glint in her eye like she always did when it was the last day of school. "I'm so glad this is my last day of school. No more homework, or math or anything educational! I will miss swimming though my team was so great." I sighed thinking of the swim team. Swimming was my favorite sport ever. I felt more calm in the water. "Hey Emily is coming over today to spend the night if that's ok with you." "Sure Alexis anytime." Emily was my best friend. We met each other in first grade and were best friends until then. "Oh and Happy 16th birthday Alexis." "Thanks mom." Then I looked at the clock. 8:05!!!! I started school in 10 minutes!!!! "Sorry to be rude mom but I gotta get to school." I bolted out the door not even touching my food. I was 1 minute from starting class and I ran in and sat down just in time. I noticed that we had 10 guest speakers today. Great that always ended up in 3 hours reading out of a little text book that everyone always brought. Today was different though, the guest speakers would grab one kid at a time, take them outside, and do an interview thing with them then they would come and grab another kid. After 23 students went it was finally my turn. I was the last one like always. "So what's your name miss?" They all did that creepy unison talk. "Umm do you want my full name or just my first name?" "Any one of those is fine. Although we already know all about you Alexis Jackson." Okay nobody EVER called me Alexis Jackson. Not even my mom! Before I could ask them why they called me by that name they all started melting into each other. I was frozen and could not speak. When they finished melting into each other they formed a Hydra. A Greek dragon that had 10 heads. Legend has it that if you cut off one of its head it grows two more. I tried to run but my feet were implanted into the ground. They roared and that's what got me moving. "AHHHHHHHHHHH SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!" Was all I could say. Then two boys came up rushing to the Hydra with a ball point pen and a skull ring. Ya like that's gonna help! I thought to myself. "Are you guys crazy! You can't defeat that with tho-" I was cut off by a metal sound. When I looked at the boys they had swords in their hands. Okay this is just getting weirder by the second. Am I losing my mind?! "Nico you distract it while I stab it!" Then the boy with the black clothes I guess Nico ran up in front of the Hydra and yelled "COME AND GET ME!" What in the wide world was he doing?! I decided that I wanted to help so I ran up to Nico and hit the Hydra in the neck with my necklace that was shaped like a sword. It roared and ran towards me snapping. "What are you doing?!" Nico yelled. "Trust me I have a plan." I then started running at full speed. It followed me and hit Percy and Nico with it's tail knocking them against the wall. I ran and ran and ran hoping that I had lost it but it came up and grabbed a hold of my arm with the front of it's mouth. I screamed in pain and hit it with my hand. Then the most amazing thing happened, after I hit it it turned into crystal clear ice. When I touched it's snout it crumpled into cubes of ice. I fell to the ground hitting my left arm on the hard wood. I saw Nico and Percy rush over to me then I blacked out.
