"Dad! I helped another person at school today! I fought off more meanies!"

"My daughter! And how did you do it?"

"They were picking on him because of his quirk."

"Oh? What was his quirk?"

"Hmm... I don't know! But it didn't matter, because no one should feel bad about their quirk. So I told the mean kids to go away otherwise I'd fart in their face so hard that they'd fly up into the sky!!!"

"I'mmmmmMMMMM SO PROUD OF YOUUUU!!! Well done, [Y/N]!!!"

I giggled as he picked me up with both of his hands and raised me above his head and into the sky. Even if I could only squirt little puffs of air out at the time, I always felt like I could fly with you...

Was this a dream... or a memory?

"-YOU LOSER! I'LL KILL YOU!"

"Mrmmh..."

My eyes fluttered open, and I was a bit bleary-eyed when Bakugo's loudass voice woke me up. Our class was on a bus heading towards a training facility for today. I guess some people were poking fun about Bakugo's award-winning personality, and he was just biting back like he always did. I wasn't surprised that his karma was finally banking in.

"Had a nice nap?" I heard Todoroki's voice next to me.

"Hmm? Oh. Yeah..." I yawned. To be honest, I wanted to go back to sleep. The seat I was leaning on was really comfortable, which was strange for a bus chair. I heard Aizawa call out that we were almost at our destination, so I decided to just wake myself up.

When my vision finally cleared, I realized that the very comfortable seat I was leaning on was not a seat at all, but Todoroki himself. Sitting straight up, I blurted, "Oh-... uh-! I-..! I'm so sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He still had his eyes closed with his head resting on his chair's headrest. "It's fine."

Wasn't he a little too chill with me coming into his personal space? With his eyes closed, I couldn't really get a read on him. Did he really not mind?

I respectfully kept my distance for the remainder of the ride.

We were herded inside today's training grounds, which was called the USJ by the pro hero Thirteen. A lot of us were excited and pumped up by their speech, because today, we would be using our quirks to save people.

My eyes shined as I watched Thirteen from afar. I was a fan of them myself since Dad used to work with them, too, and he told me all about the rescue missions they did together. My heart beat with excitement and inspiration. Maybe I wasn't as strong as Dad yet, but seeing the different rescue sites motivated me to push myself. Someday, I'd be able to fly and help people from each and every one of those types of disasters.

"Today, you will use your quirk to save others!"

When Thirteen finished their speech, Aizawa said we would get started, and as if on cue, a jolt of electricity shorted all of the lights, and the entire area grew darker. A strange, violet spiral of shadows appeared out of nowhere, and a whole mob of strange-looking people began to stride out from it.

"H-hey, uh-... is this a part of the training?" I asked nervously.

I saw Kirishima peer over at the same area while other classmates murmured. "Yeah, I thought we were rescuing people?"

"Everyone, STAY BACK!" Aizawa shouted at us and told Thirteen to protect us. "Those are villains."

Goosebumps shot up all over my skin.

What?! Villains?

A wave of fear crashed over us as we watched them pour in by the number.

"Everyone, with me!" Thirteen reeled our attention in and had us booking towards the exit while Aizawa leapt down to take on the unexpected invaders.

As fast as we ran, our attempts were futile when one of the villains emerged out of thin air. Deep, purple wisps grew into a dark cloud with yellow streaks as eyes, and a murky voice spoke to us. He revealed that the villains were here for All Might, but the man himself wasn't here today. Bakugo and Kirishima charged at the violet cloud, but their attacks had no effect, aside from provoking the villain.

The next thing we knew, we were completely locked in a tornado of purple smoke and mist, and I found myself falling through the air.
