Unchained Melody | Hoseok

PROLOGUE

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

"Hoseok, I'll miss you!" Davina, my dear girlfriend uttered.

Her sweet voice unchained my mind from intrusive thoughts. She makes me comfortable. She eases every pain that shoots through my system. She's my world.

I smiled softly before giving her a curt nod. I gently pulled her in my embrace, and kissed her head faintly.

I love her so much.

I pat her back when I heard her whimper, soothing her in a sweet manner. "It's okay, sweetie. I will be back as soon as possible." I can feel her shift and tilt her head up.

I look down and notice that she's staring at me with puffy eyes. Her cheeks and nose dyed in pink and her plump lips formed a pout.

I chuckled lightly before messing her hair. "I promise!" Her pout turned into a smile. She submerged her head in my chest, refusing to let go of me.

"You'll be away for two years, so you should hug me enough for those empty years," she stated, her voice laced with playfulness.

A giggle erupted from my lips. "It'll take two months not years." I corrected but she only rolled her eyes and pout.

"Stop doing that. The more you do that, the more I regret leaving." She giggled before shoving me away. "Go and don't come back." Her sarcastic tone slashes in a pointy manner.

"This will be the last time we'll be away from each other. I love you, Davina." She pulled me again in another hug. A sob erupts from her lips as her tears stain my suit. I enlaced my arms around her and softly rubbing her back, easing her heartache.

"I love you too, Hoseok!" She retorted, grasping my suit tightly, afraid to let it go.

I didn't know that it would be the last time.

The last time, I'll be able to hug her.
The last time to feel her touch.
The last time to hear her say she loves me.
And the last time for me to love her.
