The handcuffs were more loose than I expected. I could slide my arms and legs out and roam freely through the small room. I could hear his steps minutes before they reached the door making it easy to get back into position before he realized.
He approached the doors and I maintained my composure as he opened the large doors. He roamed around the small room. His fingers twirling my hair then sliding down the side of my face. I flinched away and he laughed at me. Moments later I heard a car engine pull up, my heart began to race, the thoughts of escaping filled my mind. The mans head averted to the car approaching.
His face filled with nervousness as he wrapped something around my mouth to stop me from screaming. He quickly ran out of the room, forgetting one important key, locking the doors. I quickly pulled my ankles and arms out of the handcuffs and slowly made my way up the steps.
As quietly as I could I pushed one of the doors open, I looked around making sure I had a clean escape and ran. I don't think I've ever ran so fast in my life, my chest burned from the cold air entering my lungs. The grass was damp, it must be early morning. I heard birds chirping all around me as I continued running.
My feet continued going as I entered the woods that surrounded my abductors house. The leaves and branches crunched under my feet, ignoring the pain I continued to run.
My body fell to the ground as I was gasping for air. My stomach was in so much pain, I was starving. I looked around, the woods surrounded me making it hard to have good direction. I made my way back to my feet and continued to run. A loud bang rang through the air, startling me but causing me to run much faster.
I could see a road close in front of me as I approached it, multiple cars passed. I made my way to the middle of the road slowly and a car started winding down the road close to me. The headlights becoming more clear as they got closer. My feet couldn't move, as if they were planted to the road.
The car kept approaching me, no sign of them slowing down, as if they didn't see me. The headlights were now maybe a mile away, I felt so nauseous, my feet still unable to move. The lights just kept getting closer and closer. My mouth was unable to open, my screams we're not heard. The car was a few feet away, still going the same speed.
Just as the car was about to crash into me my body jolted awake, a flashlight beaming into my eyesight. I was panting, trying to catch my breath.
I was still in the basement.
