I checked myself in the mirror one last time. My eyes wandered down my my body. I was wearing a cropped light blue cami with ripped white jeans. As for makeup, I had done a bolder look. A look I didn't often do because the amount of time it took. My hair was left natural. A basic pair of air forces were resting on my feet. Overall, I thought I looked good.
I turned around to my desk and grabbed my phone, asking siri to call my best friend. It began to ring shortly after and I waited for her to answer. The ringing came to a stop and the voice of my best friend spoke through the phone.
"Hey, y/n," she spoke.
"Hey, Sarah. I just finished getting ready. Are you on your way?"
"I'm leaving now."
"Perfect. I'll see you soon."
"Bye-bye." Sarah hung up the phone. I placed one last coat of lipstick on my lips before exiting my room and heading for the front door to wait for Sarah. She was picking me up so we could head to our very first Why Don't We concert. We a were absolutely obsessed with the boys and were lucky enough to get front row seats. We were ecstatic about seeing every member but I was most excited to see Jonah. Something about him caught my eye since the first time I saw a picture of him online and I had been in love since. He was perfect and the thought of being so close to him tonight caused my heart to beat faster. It seemed unreal.
My phone dinged and my eyes were met with a text from Sarah informing me that she was here. I grabbed my bag and exited my apartment. As I walked outside I saw Sarah's white car and walked towards it, opening the door to the passenger seat and sitting down. We greeted each other and were quickly on our way to the concert.
During the road trip to our destination, we jammed out to as much Why Don't We songs as we could as a pre-hype before the real deal. We got a couple strange looks from passing cars but completely ignored them because of the thought of seeing our boys for the first time already having most of our attention.
Eventually, we made it. The walk to our seats was fast paced and Sarah and I smiled all the way through it. We stopped to get some Why Don't We merchandise and I placed mine in my bag, Sarah doing the same.
Why Don't We here we come.
As the concert went on, me and Sarah never stopped singing and dancing with the group on stage. We called it singing but I think the people next to us would say we were flat-out screaming. We didn't care because we were having fun.
As the song "Cold in LA" came on, Sarah and I screamed to each other. It was our favorite song. The song we played every time we were together.
The chorus came.
"Don't walk away" They all sang. I watched Jonah the whole time. How great he looked on stage and how amazing he was at singing. He began singing again.
"Cause it's cold in LA" His perfect voice rang through my ears sending shivers down my body. Throughout the show, his voice shocked me again and again. He began to walk closer the edge of the stage, where Sarah and I stood. All the sudden, our eyes made contact. His beautiful blue eyes stayed locked on mine and I felt as though I was going to pass out.
"Every time that you leave me behind."
He took more steps forward.
"Just stay at my place." He was now kneeling down right in front of me. My breath hitched in my throat. He takes his hand in mine, never breaking eye contact. Sarah watched us and smiled knowing this was what I had dreamed about.
"Cause I can tell by the way you're lookin' at me, you'll be fine." He sang right in front of me. He brought my hand up to his soft lips and then mouthed, "You are stunning." With that, he was quickly up and walking back to his band mates who were already in position for the upcoming choreography. Jonah had to quickly join in. But he made it work.
Finally processing what had just happened a few seconds ago, I turned to my best friend.
"That didn't just happen." I stated with a huge blush on my cheeks.
"Yes, honey, it did."

So um it may or may not have been more than a month since I've updated😬😬
I am so sorry. I have honestly just been so stressed out about online school and have also just not had the energy to write. You get me? I think at this point you all have realized I just can't update regularly.

Rip Corey. I never really knew you but I know you were a great friend to Daniel. Thanks for making my boy smile. You seemed amazing. Sending my love❤️❤️
