"Shall we go to my workplace?" Mr. Grayson asked me.

"Uhm..sure.." I said without thinking.

Mr. Grayson would remove the rope from my hands, and he dragged me into a portal nearby. I got scared of what his world looked like, but when I entered, it was just an old town full of normal and scary monsters. There were humans but partly monster.

........................................

We walked down a busy road, it looked like a market. I slightly looked back at the portal but it was gone. And I looked back at Mr. Grayson. I felt like he wasn't a normal human, as he looked like one.

I saw his workshop up on a hill just like our house, it looked just like my house because it had a garden on the front, a beautiful light peach door, windows beside and a two-story house, It also looked like a small shop. But then I remembered I wasn't in my world.

A bunch of monsters would be looking at us as we walked up to the staircase to his workshop. Reptiles, dragons, wolves, elves, everyone!

........................................

We arrived at the workshop, Mr. Grayson took out his keys and opened the door as I turned around to look at the old town. The houses were broken, people fighting in the distance, and it had a busy road.

"Am I even gonna go back to my world?..." I thought, looking down at my feet as I pocket my hands.

I heard the door open and suddenly turned around, preparing myself for what I am about to see in his workshop.

"Are you ready for these tasks, boy?" Mr. Grayson asked, curious about my answer.

"Yes sir.. I am prepared to do these tasks at hand.." I said, looking like a foolish soldier going to war.

"Ah, yes, that's the answer I'm looking for." He nodded, smiling too.

I was confused why there were no things or floorboards behind him, but there was a staircase, a slight beam of light coming from deep within.

........................................

I'd pull my collar and slid it side to side, feeling slightly sweaty. We walked down the staircase, as Mr. Grayson closed the door behind us with some kind of.."Magic".. We walked deep within. Arriving at a huge workshop full of monsters working, some pretty elves as well.

"This is my workshop! Monsters work for me here and I ordered one to get you, boy." Mr. Grayson said as we walked through a hallway with monsters working on the sides.

"Cool cool but, why did you choose me?.." I asked.

"Well, because I've been following you." He turned around, poking his cane at my chest.

"Wait you've been following me?!" I pushed the cane off slightly.

"Yes, I chose you because you looked like a brave one, but stupid." He chuckled.

"Thanks for the compliment," I said while grumbling.

"But is there any reason WHY you really chose me?" I asked again.

"I'll explain later, boy." Mr. Grayson said seriously.

"But first, I shall show you your room for me to easily explain with a cup of tea." He cheerfully said.

"Ok? Thanks I guess." I shrugged while following Mr. Grayson.

........................................

We arrived at my room, I noticed it was pretty wide and had the door in the middle.

Mr. Grayson handed me the keys for the room and let me open it myself.

I walked into the room, seeing two beds, cabinets, and two working tables.

"Do I have some kind of.. roommate?"
I asked Mr. Grayson

He'd nod his head as a yes for the question.

"Now I shall explain why I chose you."
He closed the door behind him and sat on the side of my bed.

I sat down beside him and waited for him to tell me.

PART 3
The Elf girl

"I picked you because of your past life." He told me.

"I saw you breakdown as your parents burned down in the old house you lived in, and the only person you could save was your brother, "

"You stole money for food, you got bullied because you had no parents. But you still stood up as a man to protect your brother, but not until you and your brother were adopted by loving parents." He said.

I looked down at my feet, remembering that day when my parents died. I didn't know who started the fire but I promised myself to catch whoever that person is.

"You should get some rest, you have a big day tomorrow---" he stopped as an elf girl barged in

"Who's in here?!" She yelled.

"Oh, It's just you Mr. Gray." She sighed.

"Who's the human?" She asked.

"He will be working with us from now on" he said.

He looked at me and told me "your position in the job is a bodyguard, from now on you and Eli will protect me" he looked both at me and the elf girl.

"Alright" we said bravely.

"Both of you talk tomorrow and get to know each other before you come to me, get some rest for now." He added.

He got up and left the room, closing the door.

Me and Eli got onto our beds and fell asleep.
