"Woah, what?" Tobi asked as Artemis yanked her away. "What are those?"

"Huge werewolf-like creatures," he told her, sweat beading on his forehead. "With claws sharp enough to rip your heart out if they want." He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a sickle-scythe and handed it to Tobi. He then took out a dagger and a sword.

"WHAT!?!" she practically yelled. Artemis shushed her.

"Shut up! They'll find us!" he said through clenched teeth.

"Okay okay!" Tobi panicked. "Just tell me what's going on and what to do!"

"Well, they have really sharp teeth, and they're very strong... and they get burned in the sunlight, which is why they hunt at night." His mind was running a race as he tried to think of what to do.

"So all we have to do is hide until morning," Tobi suggested.

"No," Artemis said. "They can smell up to fifty miles away from them."

"How do you know this stuff?"

"Because one of them killed my father!" He then paused. "Quick! Cover yourself with mud!" He instantly started digging dirt from the ground and plastering it all over his clothes and face.

"Why?" Tobi said as she scooped up mud from the ground. She groaned as the sludge .

"So the gravenias won't smell us," he said as he slathered the messy goop on his face. "Duh!" His companion gagged.

"Ugh," she muttered as she rubbed the mud on her arms and neck. A foul odor wafted into her nostrils, making her wrinkle her nose.

"You don't have to cover yourself with mud completely," Artemis scoffed as she put mud on her fingers. "Just enough so it'll block out most of the smell."

"You should've specified that before," she growled.

"Sorry. I thought you would know that." The howls from the darkness grew, coming at Tobi and Artemis closer and closer.

"We need to get out of here," he continued, now standing up. "Grab your bag and let's go."

"But what about Valor? What if she's still here?"

"She'll find her way out of it. She always does."

Valor had to admit- she loved her new room. Her desk was elegantly carved, the legs looking like wands. She had a high-tech laptop which she could do anything she wanted to, but for some reason, TechMaps was blocked, in fact, every mapping system or tracking app was blocked. She found that quite peculiar.

Weird, she thought. He doesn't want me to leave anytime soon. Her bed was a magenta color, with a galaxy imprint on the other side of her blanket. The view from her room was astounding. A beautiful tropical tree stood outside her windowsill, macaws, and monkeys flying and swinging from branch to branch.

She wished Tobi was here with her. Suddenly, a bell echoed from the hallways. She assumed that was the dinner bell, ringing it's chiming sound. Valor's clothes were covered in dirt smudges.

"Shit," she muttered. She looked around the room, and found a double door, with shiny gold doorknobs. She burst into the room and found a hall of beautiful dresses and makeup, neatly organized. She gasped in amazement and eagerly scanned the room for something a bit casual. A few seconds later, she found a beautiful floral kimono, embroidered with breathtaking cyan and dark blue colors. She pulled her hair up into a messy bun and used a small, wet cloth to pat-down her cut.
