Chapter 12 - Aid

You had forgotten about everyone and just pushed through the crowd.
Your head was spinning like crazy, incapable of thinking proberly.

The feeling of the cold wind hit your skin. You ran back to the garden, in hopes of processing everything.

"Y/N!" The small girl ran to you.
"The ambulance just arrived and Taehyung's for sure getting suspended." She continued, holding her knees, trying to catch her breathe.

"I just don't understand. Why would he do that?" You didn't look at her, just at the grey tiles beneath you.

"He's so nice, when we're alone, a-and Mark and Kai? What did they do.
Yeri... There's so many things I can't understand." Guilt had consumed you.

The guilt of failling to protect your friends. And Taehyung too...

"It's not your fault. Let's go to the hospital. We'll ask Tae later." She saw the culpability.
It was in your eyes.

Yeri intertwined her hand with yours and squeezed reassuringly.
"I wonder where Taehyung is." Yeri tried to spark conversation.

You had been quiet, since you arrived to the hospital. 3 hours of waiting, made you tense.
All you wanted to hear was, that everything was fine, but it wasn't.

"Excuse me, but are the two you aqainted to Lee Mark?" A female doctor came up to you and asked.
"Yes, his parents are on a business trip and we're his best friends." You jumped up from the white plastic chair.

"Great, I'll inform his parents. He's in room 364 in hall 32. You can visit him now, just be quiet." You bowed to her and quickly grabbed Yeri's hand and sprinted off.

Kai's parents were here, visiting their son, but Mark's were gone so you decided to visit him instead.

You knocked on the door and opened.
He looked at you, a cast covered his right arm. Dark purple and blue Bruises were visible, especially on his face.

Yeri was behind you, saddened by his physical state.
"You better now?" You sat down a chair. Yeri sat on your thigh.

"Way Better." Yeri didn't want to smalltalk, so she cut to the chase.
"What happened? Why did he attack you?" She asked, desperate for answer.

"We were sitting together in the cafeteria, when Taehyung came over to us.
He told us to stay away from Y/N, or he'd make us regret it, so we told him to stop following you around." He looked at you.

"So he walked away. We thought he left and kept talking, but he then came back and pushed Kai, he fell on the ground.
Taehyung grabbed his chair and pulled the leg off and started hitting him. I tried to pull him off, but he slammed me to the table. I landed my right arm and broke it.
He kept hitting us both and no one did anything, until a teacher came and he fled." His eyes were practically dead.

"I wish I never brought Taehyung into my life. I'm sorry you had to go through that." You scolded yourself.
"It's okay. You didn't know he'd do that." He reassured you.

"I'm home." You mumbled, half melancholic, not wanting to talk.
"You're home late." Seojoon, your oldest step brother, looked worried at you.

"You're lucky. Mom and dad are on a date. They don't know anything."
"Someone I knew was in the hospital." You exclaimed quietly, just wanting to go into your room.

"But it's still rude to ignore him like that. You left him waiting for hours. We couldn't even get in contact with you" you blinked confused at him.

"Who?"

"That guy you had home yesterday. He came here a few hours ago and told me he was your boyfriend.
I really didn't think you had boyfriend." He chuckled lightly.

"Where's he now?"
"I felt bad, so I let him into your room.
He's been staying ever since."
