-Narrator Pov I guess-
Steven whipped the tears from his eyes as the dondie passed a sign reading, "Now Leaving Beach City."Steven pulled out a map from his glovebox and set it on the steering wheel. He parked at the side of the road and traced his finger along the map. He stopped at a mark on the map reading, "Gravity Falls."
--Time Skip Because I can---
Steven sighed relief hitting him as a sign reading "Welcome to Gravity Falls Oregon" passed by. A gas station appeared to the right, and Steven dicided to stop by to get some gas. He pulled the Dondie into a empty parking spot and hopped out of the car.
-Dipper POV-
I awoke to the sound of scribbling on paper. I sat up, rubbing my eyes and looked to find Mabel drawing on paper and gluing it to packed bags.A blue adventure backpack had my name on it, while a glittery pink one had Mabel on it. Today we where going to leave a bit early to return to Gravity Falls for the summer. Mabel was mostly excited to see how Candy and Grenda were doing, but I wanted to see Ford again and adventure some more in the weirdness of Gravity Falls.
We where suppost to come last year, but due to Ford and Stan going on a year long voyage out at sea, we didn't get to go. Mabel hadn't changed at all, still the fun and playful twin he had always known, but I had changed to be a bit more daring. Or at least that's what I think. Mabel said I was still the same but I beg to dif-
I was pulled from my thoughts as Mabel jumped onto my bed smiling. "GOOD MORNING DIPPER!" Mabel laughed, jumping up and down on her knees. I chuckled. "Good morning." "I was going to wake you up, but I guess you where a early bird this morning!" She laughed.
Mabel jumped off the bed, landing beside Waddles who was curled up like a cat on the ground. She picked up the pig and spun around in circles. "And a special good morning to you~"
--Haha another time skip--
I was thrown forward out of my sleep as the bus lurched to a stop. The driver yelled through the microphone when it came on with a ear splitting hiss. "Last stop for Gravity Falls Oregon!"
I shook Mabel awake as she looked around. She at first seemed confused, but it snapped to her and she jumped up in excitement. She grabbed her bags and rolled them down the bus isles. But just as we where about to exit the bus... I heard... cheering..?
-Steven POV-
As I exited the bus, I noticed a huge crowd of people gathered at the sidewalk. It was just across the road from the Gas station and they where all holding signs. I quickly filled the dondie with gas and walked over to see what was going on.I looked left and right to see if any cars where coming, and bolted across the street. I stopped running when I hit the other side and sighed, catching my breath. I looked up and headed to the group, tapping on the nearest person's shoulder. She turned to me with aa questioned look, one eye completely shut closed and covered in blue... paint? Connie would probably know what it was.
"Um excuse me miss, but what is everyone here gathering for?" I asked. She smiled sweetly, her grin making me feel a bit warm. "Oh! Our saviours are returning today! It's so existing! Oh! Speaking of them, that must be it! Oh wait no that's a squirrel. Is my sign raised high enough?" She raised I sign up into the air that read "Welcome bac Dipper and Mabel!" I noticed the Back in the sign was spelled wrong but she seemed to have the spirit. I began to puzzle about the
I looked around, wondering if anyone here might know of a possible place to work or a hotel possibly. I started by a old looking man with a long beard and short legs. When he said something about robots, I knew he wasn't my type of guy. I moved onto the next person, and then the next, most of them ignoring me.
-Stan's POV-
I rested my hand on Fords shoulder, smiling ear to ear. I was excited to see the two rascles again. They where fun to be around, and they helped a lot with running the shack. (Yeah after a while Stan reowned the shack because Sus said it was a too hard task)
I turned to the crowd to admire its large number, when he heard a voice. A boy, around 16 or so, was asking everyone if they knew of a possible job or hotel. I looked over at Ford to see if he had noticed I had began to back off, but he just kept on looking at the road, lost in thought.
I walked over to the boy, who was now leaving the group to go back to wherever he had come from and grabbed his shoulder.
"Hay, I heard you where looking for a job and a place to stay?" The way the boy turned to me, I've only seen a few times. He looked hopeful, happy, confused, and startled all in one. "Um yeah. Do- do you know of some?" The boy asked, somewhat desperate. I leaned on my cane and smiled. "Know one? I own one kid!" I smiled as the kid just looked at me, catching on to what I was saying. "How bout you come and work at my lil shop! I got food, bedrooms, work, and money! But staying there will cost ya about 200 dollars a month. It's not as bad as most stuff, but it should do-" the kid shook my hand tightly and firmly. "Its a deal." He said, grinning.
-Steven POV-
Wow! I guess I got a job now! What a surprise! But I wonder who these Dipper and Mabel kids where. How did the become "savoirs" of this place anyway? Did they help put out a fire? Or was it something gem related? I hope not...My thought where interrupted by a bus pulling up to a stop in front of the group. Everyone raised there signs as the fellow who offered my a job led me to the front. The bus door opened, revealing the two kids everyone where existed about.
