LIZ POV

My thoughts were razing. What happened. What's wrong. My thoughts were growing wild in to negative direction. No Liz. Stop thinking stuff like that. I need to focus. New looked over to me when I was speeding. I didn't give a fuck in the world. My brother needed me and I would go to him, at any cost. I took over cars, shifting criss cross. I drove as fast I could. I might have ran a few red lights, New grew anxious.

"Ma'am, what's wrong ? Could you please slow down ?" He said holding the arm handle above him

"No. I can't. Adrian needs me. Something is wrong. I can't slow down. I am sorry. Don't worry, You won't die." I said in a stern voice. He nodded.

"Who is Adrian ?" He questioned me, raising eyes. Must be thinking I am cheating on Mew. With his expression, I smiled.

"He is my brother." I said looking ahead. He exhaled and nodded.

I soon was in the compound, I stopped my car in a sudden halt and opened the door. I saw New rushing along with me. I stopped. At the gate. He looked at me confused. If something is wrong, Maybe I needed this advantage. I have no weapon. New does. All these thoughts swapped in my head. I came up with a quick plan.

"New." I said looking at him with stern eyes

He looked at me, listening carefully.

"You stay here. I will go in, If I don't come out by the count of 10. Come in from the back door. It is back there.. through the backyard. Okay?" I said looking at him.

He nodded. I walked in when I thought about Mew.

"And... Don't call Mew. I don't want him to know. It is a big day for him. I don't want him to get worried and ruin this day for him. Cool ?" I said turning to him.

He nodded. I ran towards the lobby and stood front of the door. I slowly opened the door. "Adrian ?" I called out.

"I am here.." I said looking his desk, where is he ?

I could not see him. I turned to my right hearing muffled voice. I stood there frozen. I saw Adrian sitting on his chair with his arms tied behind and his mouth tied tightly with a cloth. My blood grew cold. Sam was standing there, holding a gun on his head behind him. I saw Adrain crying, seeing his tears rolling down. My heart arched. My brother. Like this. Anger grew over me. I looked at her with wide eyes.

"Sam...Put the gun down." I said gesturing my hands to come closer. I walked a few steps towards them.

I breathed hard. No please. Not my brother.

"Don't come closer. I will blow his fucking head off." She said with a stern voice.

"Okay..Okay.. Calm down. Please let me help you.. What's wrong.., what do you want.. tell me.. talk to me please..." I said showing my hands to stop her from doing something nasty, I didn't want her to hurt my brother.

My eyes shifted behind her, I saw New opening the door slowly, looking through an inch of the open door. I connected with his eyes. I shook my head slowly, looking at him. Through Sam. He understood. It wasn't time. Not yet. I needed her to get away from Adrian first.

"I need my fucking life back! I need my fathers life back! You destroyed him! You destroyed us!!" She screamed in anger

"What.. Sam. Please. I don't understand you.. What you talking about ?" I asked her being a bit confused

"Inspector Chris. My father. You destroyed him. And you will pay for it. Every Penny. You get that ?" she said in a stern voice.

"Inspector Chris ?" I said slowly. "You....You're his daughter... oh my god.." I whispered.
