A. Essence of God
- Old Testament : Spirit and Word
- New Testament : Father and Son
• God became man (The Word was made flesh)
o The Father sent His own Son to show them an example or model of what man should be (John 14:6; Matt. 3:16-17)
o The Word in the Old Testament was manifested in a body (John 1:1; 14; 1 John 1:1-2).
• The Begotten Son has dual nature (Matt. 1:18-21
o Father's side: Divine
o Mother's side: Human
o "Begotten" means "born of a woman"
o "Son" means "a body indwelt by the Father's spirit"

• He is the first man to have the SPIRITUAL DNA of the Father
• He brought forth the New Order of Things, not anymore in the physical but spiritual; not just the shadow, but the real manifestation itself. (John 4:19-24)
• Who are the true worshippers? Those who worship the Father in spirit and in truth.
• How are you going to worship in spirit and in truth? Through repentance. But the Jews rejected the Father's plan of salvation

✓ They looked for a physical messiah because from the very beginning, they had been looking for a human deliverer who would save them from physical captivity (John 6:14-15).
✓ They did not know that what they needed was spiritual deliverance from the serpent seed, which was the mission of Jesus Christ.

B. Message of Repentance
- The Begotten Son was bringing the SPIRITUAL Component of Salvation- the spirit of obedience to the Father's will.
- Repent means 'surrender or eradicate the serpent seed' (Mark 1:15).
• Surrender to the New Government (Matthew 4:17)
- What is the New Government? It is the Kingdom of God.
- Salvation is for the Jews but they still need to repent because they have the serpent seed; their father is the devil (John 8:34-44). He was showing them their spiritual state.
- In order to become the New Jew (Romans 2:28-29), they have to repent.
- This is the message of the Begotten Son that phased out the Old Covenant
• What is the Old Covenant? Temple-centered worship
• Why did the Begotten Son have to phase out the Old Covenant? Because the Spirit of the Almighty Father will not dwell in the temple made with man's hand (Acts 17:24-25).
- Jesus Christ introduces the New Covenant.
• What is the New Covenant? The Temple is no longer the physical structure in Jerusalem, but His own body which is the true temple (John 2:19-21).
• Phasing out of the Jewish Heaven and Earth
o Matthew 24:35 - Heaven and Earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away.

✓ What is the Mission of the Begotten Son?

C. Mission of Redemption
- Redemption - to redeem what was lost; to take back the Sonship and the Kingship that Adam and Eve lost to Satan Lucifer the devil by deception.

D. Temptation of the Begotten Son (Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13)
- Like Adam, the serpent visited the Begotten Son in the Garden of Eden; it was not in the form of a serpent but the devil himself to deceive and lure him  into following his voice once again.
- Unlike Adam, Jesus Christ did not succumb to the deception of the serpent.
- Very crucial point: the devil showing him all the kingdoms of the world (Luke 4:6-7); it indicates that the devil owns all the people and nations because they were handed to him by Adam and Eve when they fell in the Garden of Eden
- With the Begotten Son's victory against Satan Lucifer the devil, the Sonship and the Kingship were already in the hands of the Begotten Son.

- However in order to redeem, He had to pay the price. How did He pay the price? He paid it with His life in the Crucifixion.

E. Crucifixion of the Begotten Son
- The final payment of the price of Redemption: it was not enough that the temptation was won
- The Begotten Son had to pay the price and that is through His own blood (Hebrews 9:22).
• The Ultimate Sacrifice
o What is acceptable to the Father is not the animal offerings anymore, but the Body of the Son (Hebrews 10:4-5; John 1:29).
• 'It is Finished' (John 19:30).  What was finished was the work of redemption
- Genesis 3:15, the enmity was fulfilled (Eph. 2:15-16)
"seed of the woman" – Jesus Christ – righteous seed
"seed of the serpent" – Fallen Adamic race – serpent seed
o Bruising the head of the serpent (partial only because only redemption was fulfilled; still needed to be completed)
o Bruising the heel of the Son (when he was wounded, he suffered and died; just a temporary damage)
- He saw His Seed (Isaiah 53:10)
o Waiting for an heir to whom the Sonship and the Kingship would be returned; it was supposed to be given back to Adam and Eve but they were no longer here anymore, and so it had to be given to their progeny, one from the Fallen Adamic race, the seed of Jesus Christ

F. The Jewish Age ended
- The Destruction of the temple (Matt. 24:2)
• Titus the Roman General invaded Jerusalem and destroyed the temple in 70 AD.
- The Kingdom of God departed from Israel (Matt. 23:37-39)
• Despite given 2,070 years, the Jews failed to produce the Son (Matt. 21:43).
- The Jews' rejection of the spiritual component opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles. (Acts 13:46-47)
• The Father called a new people that were not His people (Romans 9:24-26).

G. Persecution of the Followers of Jesus Christ: the serpent seed wanted to kill the righteous seed once again
- Calling of Saul the Persecutor (Acts 9:3-6)
• Paul was called as an apostle to the Gentiles
• Trained in the University of the Spirit for 17 ½ years
- The righteous seed still lives. The life of Jesus Christ, which is His words, was planted into the ground, grew and multiplied (John 12:24).
- The followers of Jesus Christ increased in number despite the persecution which became a threat to the Roman Empire.
