Once I got to the bus stop, there was no one there, so I thought I might've been a little early. No problem, I'll just play on my phone until the bus gets here.

About 10 minutes later still nobody has shown up, and that's when I realize that I completely missed the bus! I ran back to my house and yelled, "GET THE CAR READY OR IM GONNA BE LATE!" "What?! I thought you were taking the bus!" my mom said shocked. "I missed it and if we don't go now we're gonna be late so let's gooooooo!"

My mom got us into the car and of course I showed up just in time to make it. "Thanks mom, I promise it won't happen again." "It's fine, first days are always tough, now get in there and get your schedule! and PLEASE don't get into any trouble today!" "No promises..." I smile to my mom as I exit the car with my backpack, even though I know I won't be getting into any sorts of trouble this year... I think.

I walk into the front office and nicely ask the lady for my schedule. "First and last name please," asked the lady in a bitchy way. "Siena Zimmerman." After rummaging through a few folders in a metal cabinet she gave me my papers and said, "Here you go, your locker is on the second floor right next to the gym, and welcome to West-Ridge High School." Great, next to a bunch of sweaty teenage boys for the rest of the year, perfect.

I found my locker and tried the combination, but I just couldn't get it to work! 11-17-23... ugh, NOTHING! I tried again, 11-17-23. Still no luck. I was about to give up when I turned around and saw this girl standing against the lockers watching me struggle with this. "Hey, can you help me with this?" "Ya you look like you could use it," the girl laughed, but... not in a mean way if that makes sense. "My name's Taylor, but my friends call me Tay. You can if you want to." "Thanks, I'm Siena," I said handing her my locker combination. She kept talking as she put in my combination, " I'm pretty sure I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?" and as she finished, my locker popped open. "Ya, I've moved around quite a bit, but hopefully this is the final move," I said, unpacking my things. "Why? You in a military family? Or are you're parents part of the FBI? Are they Secret Service Agents? Spies? Ninjas?" "No, my family isn't that interesting," I said laughing. "Then why?" Taylor asked again. "Um, just haven't really felt at home yet I guess.." Did I want to tell people my secrets now? Have myself exposed to my new classmates whom I don't even know yet. No, I plan on keeping my past a secret from everyone, I can't let anybody know what happened, or my life here would be ruined, and I haven't even started it yet.
