I woke up in the back of the car. The sun was high in the sky, so I assumed it was about noon. Sam's seat was lowered so my head was next to his. He was sleeping too. Dean was whistling to the music. I bolted upright and rubbed my eyes.
“Good morning sunshine”, Dean smiled and looked at me in the rearview mirror. “Well, it’s not technically morning, but…”
“Yeah, get used to it”, I said and chuckled.
“Oh, don’t worry, I already am”, he said pointing at Sam. He was sleeping tight, his mouth slightly open. I narrowed my eyes.
“I have an idea”, I said. “Gimme your phone.”
“Whoa, what are you going to do?”, he asked suspiciously.
“Eat it”, I said sarcastically. He looked at me for a moment and grinned.
“Okay, then. Here you are”, he said pulling his phone out of his pocket. I grinned.
I leaned over and got some spoon out of car drawer. I carefully put it in Sam’s mouth and took a picture of him with Dean’s phone. He laughed and we high fived. I took the spoon out of his mouth.
“So where are we headed?”, I asked, looking on the road.
“Well I was running through Dad’s journal when we were at some gas station last night and I found some coordinates. I thought maybe we could find something there”, he said his eyes on the road.
“Okay, do you know the name of the place?”
“Nah, I was waiting for sleeping beauty to wake up. I just headed in that direction.”
“I can check it on my phone, I have a map”, I said grabbing my phone.
“Sure, do it. Take the book, it’s in Sam’s backpack.”
I took the book and started checking the coordinates on the phone. Meanwhile, Sam woke up, covered in sweat.
“Another nightmare Sammy?”, Dean asked.
Sam looked kinda in shock. He just nodded, putting his seat up.
“Jessica?”
“Yeah”, Sam nodded again. I narrowed my eyes.
“Who’s Jessica? Oh, Dean the name of the place is Blackwater Ridge.” Dean nodded.
“Blackwater Ridge it is”, he said and turned on the next exit. I looked at Sam.
“Jessica was my girlfriend and she died. In a fire, like yours and ours mom, killed by the same thing”, Sam said.
“So do you know what that thing is?”, I asked, slightly shaken by mentioning my mom.
“We know it’s some kind of a yellow-eyed demon. Dad went looking for him, and we haven’t heard from him since then”, Dean said. “Sam, could you take over the wheel? I was driving all night long.”
“Yeah, stop there.”
When they switched, we were back on the road.
“So your father, John, did you figured out how did he knew my mom?”, I asked.
“No, not a clue”, Dean said and raised his eyebrows.
“You know, maybe we could call Bobby and check. I mean, he knew with whom Dad worked”, Sam stated.
“Yeah, we can do that”, Dean said.
“Um, guys, you do realize that we’re going somewhere where there’s something paranormal, and I don’t have a clue what should I do?”, I stated.
