I could not stop thinking about Kaden and what he just asked me. Was I ready to date? Was he really asking me out? What in the world did he see in me? So many questions and yet no one to answer them for me but Kaden. Sienna just sat smiling at me the whole ride home and I could feel her eyes just burning into the side of my face. But I was not going to give her the satisfaction.

We finally got home.

"You shouldn't stare at people like that little miss, its rude" I laughed at the look Sienna gave me.

"Yeah well, uncle Kaden just asked you out and you said yes to him!" she smirked at me. Ooh this girl.

"Yeah well..." I was coming up with nothing to say back to her. The kid was right. So really, I was ready to date. Theoretically anyway. "Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head about ok?" We got out of the car and headed inside. I left a lamb roast to cook in the slow cooker all day today and my house smelt absolutely amazing. It was to die for. It was a mix of garlic and rosemary, with a hint of gravy in the air. My stomach started grumbling and I remembered that I hadn't eaten since lunch, so yeah I was a little starving by this point. I looked at the time, 7:45pm. Not bad.

"Sienna, jump in the shower and then come down to eat" I called out to her with a faint okay as I heard the bathroom door close upstairs. Praise the Lord for slow cookers. Whoever thought to create this was a pure genius and I was super grateful for that person because before my eyes as I plated Sienna and I's food was this glorious meal. I'm not gonna lie, I had been taking lessons with the chef from work who was also, a pure genius. And he had the works going on for me. Ten minutes later, I heard the bathroom door open and pitter patter feet running down the stairs.

"So fresh and so clean clean" I sang to Sienna who just looked at me like the weird aunty that I was. I'ma have to teach this girl about real music, damn. She rolled her eyes at me and laughed but not for long because her real fob senses were kicking in and she ravaged through her food. She didn't look hungry but this girl went through her food like there wasn't going to be any left overs for her. "So, tomorrow night?" I broached the subject.

"Yeeeeeah" she glanced at me sideways chewing on a piece of roast lamb. She can eat i thought to myself.

"This is the first time I've gone on a date since who knows when" I treaded lightly over the topic. "Now, if you don't want me to go, I'll tell him and I won't go" part of me was hoping she didn't want me to go.

"Oh hell no, you're going!" she exclaimed rather too excited for my liking.

"Um excuse me?" Shocked by her answer.

"Sorry but I want you to go Aunty! You gave up 4 years of your life for me. I want you to be happy too" she smiled and my heart melted. She had this genuine thing about her. Just like her Mum.

"If you're sure?" I looked at her once more as she nodded in approval. "Okay then, I'll take you to Aunty Gina's tomorrow night. I'm sure she'd be thrilled to hear this"

"Oh my gosh!!!" Gina screamed through the phone as I told her the next morning. "How did this happen? I leave y'all for 2 minutes and you leave with a date?" the tone in her voice switched up and I knew something was up.

"Pfft, please. You wanted this to happen" I shook my head. Luckily she can't see me or else she'd be grilling me.

"You're shaking your head aren't you?" Ha, spoke too soon. This woman knew me too well. "And no, well yes but you know. I want you to be happy May" that was her nickname for me. I quite liked it and never pulled her up on it.

"I know you and you have always treated me like a sister even before the accident and I appreciate you a whole heap, you know that right?"

"I do and I'd do anything for you and Sienna"
