Chapter 54 ● Darren's vampire puppy ○

Darren brings Calum back to his house. He snaps his neck so he's definitely dead. "Now I just gotta wait for him to wake up" he says to himself. He lays his body on his couch and sits on a chair nearby as he watches some random show on tv. 

Valley rushes to Daphne's house and rings her door bell. Daphne opens the door after a few minutes. "Hi Valley, what brings you here?" She questions her. "There's a problem" she answers her. "What problem?" She asks her. "Darren turned Calum into his vampire puppet" she replies to her. "And you want me to make him human again?" She asks her. "Yes that's exactly it" she replies to her. "Tell his friends about what happened, we need as much support as we can get if we're going to get him away from Darren" she tells Valley. "Okay I'll tell them" she replies to her. "Good, go ahead, I'll make the potion in the meantime" she replies back to her. "Do you have everything you need?" She questions Daphne in a concerned voice. "Yes, I've been prepared for this moment for ages" she answers her. "That's great, I'll see you later" she replies stepping out of her house. "See you" she replies back. Valley then goes back to her own house.

Calum wakes up after some time. "You're finally up pup!" Darren exclaims. "You seem excited" he replies to him. "Let's go" he replies. "Yeah sure, but where we going?" He questions him. "A town" he answers him. "Okay, do we need to go?" He asks him. "Yes we do or you're gonna die again" he replies to him. "Alright, then let's go" he replies to him. "That's a good boy" he replies to him. The both of them go to Darren's car and he drives them to a town.

Valley calls Ashton. He picks up after a few minutes. "Hi Ashton" she greets him through the phone. "Hi Valley" he greets her back. "Calum's in danger" she tells him. "What? How?" He asks her. "Darren somehow lured him into a trap and now he's his vampire puppet" she replies to him. "Really?" He questions her. "Yes really, I tried to save him but I was too late" she answers him. "Okay, how are we gonna get him back to normal?" He asks her. "I have a plan, spread the word to your friends, I'll let you guys know when we are gonna execute the plan" she replies to him. "Okay I will, I'll talk to you later Valley" he replies back to her. "Talk to you later Ashton" she responds cutting the call.

Both Darren and Calum go into the town Darren drove to. "What are we doing here?" He questions Darren. "You know the drill, I know Valley turned you before, you need to feed on a person's blood" he answers him. "Yeah, but why all the way here?" He asks him. "There's more people here than in the forest" he replies to him. "Okay, so whose blood we drinking?" He asks him. "You choose pup" he replies to him. "Alright" he replies back. He sees a guy walking towards an alleyway. He walks towards him. "That's lame, you gotta move faster than that you're a vampire now!" He tells Calum. "Well I've not completed my transformation into a vampire yet, and I'm technically still half human until I drink blood" he replies to him. "Fine I'll catch the prey for you the first time, but you're going to catch your own prey the next time" he replies back to him. "Okay Darren" he responds to him. He uses his vampire speed and pushes the guy towards the wall and motions for Calum to get there. He arrives there a few minutes later.

Ashton sends a text to their groupchat to meet him at his house to discuss the  Calum situation. They arrive about ten minutes later. "So, what happened?" Michael asks concerned. "Darren somehow got Calum to meet him and then turned him into a vampire and Valley says that he's not in control of himself and Darren is controlling him" Ashton replies to them. "That's awful, what can we do to help?" Luke replies and asks a question. "Valley said she has a plan and she'll tell me the details as soon as she can" Ashton answers him.

Calum goes into his vampire form and sinks his fangs into the guy's neck drinking his blood. "Now don't you feel better?" Darren asks him. "I feel stronger and faster, so yeah I do feel better" he replies to him. "Are you going to drain him?" He questions him. "Do you want me to?" He asks a question back to answer him. "Yes actually, I do want you to kill him" he answers him. "I'll do it" he replies to him. "You won't" he replies back to him. "Is that a challenge?" He asks him. "It is" he replies to him. "Well then challenge accepted" he accepts his challenge. He drinks a lot more of the guy's blood; practically draining him. "You did something so he wouldn't scream or something right?" He asks him. "Yes I did Calum, I didn't want to cause a scene so I used my vampire powers to shut him up" he replies to him. "You should teach me how to do that" he replies to him. "I might" he replies back to him. He then drinks the last of that guy's blood. "Wow! I didn't think you had it in you to kill someone pup" he tells him. "What can I say? Maybe vampire me is less sympathetic than human me" he replies to him. "Then I definitely prefer vampire you" he replies back to him. "Let's find more people to drain of their blood" he adds to his reply. "Sure Dare" he replies to him. "I  think you should call me Dare more often I like it, it's like we're friends" he replies back to him.
