And then I saw him; he was sitting in the waiting area, reading a newspaper. He hadn’t looked up, he was too absorbed with what he was reading, and it suits me because I don’t want him to see me fidgeting. I gathered enough courage to approached him. My heart started to thud loudly that I was afraid people might actually hear it. Before I knew what was happening I was suddenly in front him, I stopped, he slowly looked up and smiled. He hadn’t changed much; still have the short jet-black hair, piercing black eyes that could see right through my soul and a smile that can melt away everything. He got up and as if on cue, I fall right in through his arms.

When we finally let go, I was blushing from head to toe. I should have controlled my impulse. Idiot. But as I look up at him, he was gazing down at me in an odd way. It made me uncomfortable the way he’s staring at me like that.

“How are you, angel,” he said in a low monotone voice, using his endearment for me made me more and more anxious.

“Umm, alright.” I smiled sheepishly. Now, I was fidgeting, I’m really nervous. I don’t know how to talk to him. Come on, think!

“Hey, that’s all you can say. It’s I, Logan, your best friend. But yet of course you are still in mesmerized with my good looks, that you are lost for words. It pains me to be curse with such gift….” He drawled dramatically.

I couldn’t help myself, I laughed heartily. “Yup, you are Logan all right…” and I said in almost a whisper, “Nice to have you back.”

“Now, that’s more like it.” He grinned. “It’s good to be back. Shall we…..” he offered me his hands, I took it, our fingers entwining as we walked hand in hand on our way to the parking lot.
