Crisis in Lyra

Chapter 2

Lyra Realm

There was another spotting of Drovoids in the Lyra Realm, Elder Thomas sent out the four of them to Lyra Realm. It took slightly longer than usual again, but they managed to kill it.

"Shall we regroup in an hour?" Bree asked, turning the Drovoids' bodies to ashes with her fire.

"Only an hour?" Poppy whined.

"Be back before sunset," Lia said.

Poppy cheered, "Thanks Lia!" and she left with Bree.

Shay walked to Lia as she willed the whip back, the whip shrunk and wrapped itself around her arm. "Where are you going? What are you going to do that takes a couple of hours?"

Lia didn't respond and walked away. Shay hurried to catch up and grabbed Lia's hand.

"Lia! Tell me, you don't have to carry all this on your own." Lia didn't respond, thinking hard about Shay's words.

"There must be something going on. I've never seen you spend so much time in the library ever since you've won against Massa during one of our training sessions."

Lia sighed, "If you have nothing planned, you can follow me. But I have nothing to tell you yet."

"Okay."

Outside a house

Lia was back at the same house as before, standing a distance away where she wouldn't be spotted by the people in the house. This time, Shay came along and accompanied Lia as she stood and stared.

They left after an hour.

Somewhere on Lyra Realm

A redhead was bobbing her head to the music that could be heard pumping from the shopping street. People noticed the redhead standing there for a while.

Bree came out of the ice cream shop with two huge cones, each with three scoops of ice cream. She handed one to Poppy.

Poppy took the ice cream and pointed at one of the shops, "Look! That one looks so much like Lia." She was pointing at a melting ice cube keychain.

"Should we get her that?"

"I don't think we ever need to use a key," Bree shook her head.

"Oh well," Poppy shrugged as she enjoyed the ice cream.

Across the street, inside a cafe, Jace spotted the girl that bumped into Tristan the other time. He elbowed Tristan, "Hey! Isn't that the girl from the other day? Remember, love at first sight?"

Tristan hit the back of Jace's head, "Would you stop saying that". He looked up and saw Poppy.

"Go get her number."

"Like I need you to tell me, don't eat up all the cake. Mum doesn't like it when you have too much sugar. Or she's gonna zap you."

Tristan walked out of the shop and headed towards Poppy and Bree.

"Hi"

Poppy turned around and saw the guy she was talking about the other day.

"Hi," Poppy gave a small wave.

Bree's eyes widened, slowly she backed away from these two lovebirds. Gesturing to Poppy, she mouthed, I'm going to go. Poppy waved her off.

<Poppy, I'll meet you back there later!> Bree headed off to get more food.

"I'm Tristan. So, are you from around here?"

"I'm Poppy and I just came into this town to get some stuff."
