Her gaze was averted away from his piercing eyes and towards the projected screen, that displayed numerous pictures of illegal substances & dead bodies sprawled across the screen.

What was supposed to be an undercover drug bust, turned into something much more.

However, his eyes were set on the woman standing in the corner across from him. He watched as she kept her arms firmly crossed across the same chest that he left his love marks all over.

The same woman he cherished more than anyone else other than his mother. The one he knew he was going to make his wife in the future. The woman to birth his children. But that all quickly disappeared.

The air in the room was so thick, she could feel the anger seeping out of his body without even sparing a glance his way.

"Can I have some one on one time with Mr. James and maybe we'll get somewhere?" She stuttered out, hoping that this would work.

The acting administrator of the DEA & her partner left out of the room, leaving the two alone. She rubbed her clammy hands down the sides of her skirt, before slowly walking over to sit across from him spreading the evidence out in front of them.

"You'll be put away for life if you don't speak up now. Your family and people you hold close to you will be gone within a matter of time."

He smirked and deeply chuckled at her while shaking his head. "That includes you, huh?"

Before she knew it, she was backed into the corner of the room shaking while he hovered over her.

"It's taking everything in me not to kill yo fuckin' ass right now Jasmine... or should I say agent Lauren Smith?" He barked before running his hand down his face. He hit the wall in anger, only centimeters away from her face.

"I told you my deepest shit. Shit nobody knew. I trusted you and gave you my motherfuckin' all... brought you around my closest people." His raspy voice chuckled again. "And come to find out yo ass is married... married to the same nigga that killed my lil' sister!" He yelled with rage.

She could see the tears of anger build up in his eyes and all she wanted to do was hold him & tell him everything was going to be okay. But that would only work in a perfect world.

"Hakeem..." she whispered with tears in her eyes trying to grab his face, but he quickly snatched his head away from her before pushing her into the wall.

Before they knew it, he was being snatched back and thrown on the ground while handcuffs were being placed on him.

"You dumb bitch! I'm going to make sure your life is a living hell. And that's a promise." He yelled as they drug him out of the room. He gave her one last piercing glance before disappearing completely.

She knew that wouldn't be the last of him.
