Vol 1: Chapter 1 - High School ( Jonah )

Hey Jonah," said Tate
"Hi Tate" I reply
"You wanna practice together? I know girls not supposed to be in the baseball practice field but the coach doesn't really care about it so why don't we ?" Tate says
My heart beating fast. Tate is in the softball team and she's the captain of the team. I had a crush on her since 7th grade. I still remember her first home run in middle school. She's so beautiful, so athletic, too
"Umm, yea I-"

"Wake up Jonah, it's not spring break anymore so get yourself ready for school. You have to let Esther go with you and the boys because dad already took the car for today."  mom yelled at me and walk out of my room.
Really! Take Esther with us? No way. She got a crush on my buddy so that's totally a no. I get off the bed and look at my phone. It's 6:30! C'mon school started at 8 and Daniel said he gonna come by 7:45. Mom really knows how to ruin my dream. I almost get a chance with my dream girl. Damn it. I get off my bed and
took a shower. Maybe that dream is just... a dream. How could she like a dude like me? She's so perfect but what am I? I get a quick shower then dressed up. Damn, it's already 7:30, you gotta be kidding me. I run to the kitchen and pick up my lunch.
" Jonah, breakfast!" mom said
" Sorry I'm late and Esther needs to walk. Daniel's mustang only fit for 5."
" That's so unfair Jonah, it's 2 miles!" Esther raised her voice with me
" Don't be childish! You can ride your bike. Stop following me and my pal!" I yelled at her back
" Enough you both, Esther will go by herself today." mom said
" Urg you're done with me!" Esther groan
" Beep Beep" Daniel honks his mustang twice.
" Gotta go, mom, I'll see you this afternoon after practice"
" Jonah, your baseball equipment!"
I grab them and leave my house.

"Seriously Daniel brushes your teeth in the car. Don't tell me you compose the beat all night." I look at him and says
" Yeah whatever but if that song goes viral, we'll famous bro!"
" In your dream, Dani"
" So Zach, Corbyn, and Jack say that they've walked to school today. Should we get your sister too?"
" Nah I don't want her to ruin my first day after spring break. My mom ruins my dream today. She wakes me up at 6:30 just to say I gotta take Esther with me. Damn, that's a good dream though. URG!?"
Daniel starts the engine and we started to go to school.
"What's that dream about ?" he asked
" Remember Tate Dahl? The girl hit a home run in 7th grade that I told you I got a crush on ?"
" Yeah that perfect girl you dream about that works at Starbucks after school?" he mocked me.
" Yeah whatever at least she didn't spend a stack of dollars bills on a Limousine like Lily." I say
" Shut up. I don't like her anymore. She's a daddy girl." Daniel groans
" You wish !"

The mustang started to run slowly. Dang, we're gonna late.
" Bro, the tire is punctured. I got my stuff in the back. It'll probably take 10 minutes to change the new one!" Daniel said
"Hey what's happened? You guys need help?" a girl's voice comes behind us. We turn back and it's Josie. She's in my AP Chemistry class. Top of the class. Somehow we stopped by in front of her house.
" What a coincidence!" I said
" Our tire is punctured. We got our stuff back there so we can handle it. Thanks for asking" Daniel said
" Let me help you. My father told me how to do it so I can help you and also, I need a ride if you don't mind," she said
" Sure !" Daniel said
The first time in a year he started to like someone at first sight. I could see how happy he is.
"Yo dude you like her ?" I whispered
" I don't know she seems nice. at least she rock on her Nike Air" Daniel glance at her and said
" Here you go. Done!" she said
" Thank you, Ava" Daniel say without hesitation
" So should we head to school now cuz we got 7 minutes till the bell ring," I said
The whole "trip" to school is so quiet. Daniel seems to be so quiet next to Josie. He keeps glancing at her and smile like stupid. My man in love the first time. We finally get to school. Ava walked out of the car and turn back. She smiled at us. Daniel seems like falling too hard for her. What an idiot! We head to the hallway and there's our man, Zachary Herron. What a clumsy boy! He dropped his stuff in the middle of the hallway. I pulled him with us. We head to choir class and practice harmonizing.
" Yo Dani, got the beat yet ?" Corbyn
asks
" Yea but what about the song idea? Anyone? Any big brain ?" Zach says with no patients
" I don't know but I met a pretty girl this morning bro!" Daniel said. His eyes brightened when he talked about Josie.
" Jonah got cheesy dream guys" he added
" C'mon shut up," I say
" What it's about? Some bad girl in Paris again ?" Jack laugh
" Nah, Tate D-" Daniel tries to tell them while I try to shut his mouth.
" Nothing," I said
" What about you Zach, who's the girl in the hallway ?" Jack look at Zach
" You mean the photographer girl? That's Hannah " Corbyn said
Then an idea came through my mind.
" Hey what if we wrong a song about girls we like? That'd be amazing then !" I said
" You dumb, no way I'm going to let her know I like her!" Zach and Daniel say along.
" C'mon do you think I want Tate to know?" I said on accident
" Ohhhh, Tate! Finally, you speak, Jonah" Corbyn exclaims
" Okay, I agree with your idea Jonah but about song title? Girls? My lady ?" Jack keeps saying some random things
" Trust fund baby !" all of us said together
" Why don't we think of this before! TRUST FUND BABY" Zach exclaims
" Alright we gonna work on lyrics and you, Daniel make some good compose for our big song," Corbyn said
"This's just the beginning"
