Life in Hontern[a city in the country of Emora] starts bright and early for under paid workers. I love my country, where I live, my parents, and friends. I am grateful for all that has been given to me. There is just one thing I lack which is money. The world has shaped itself in a certain way that everyone is obliged to use money as a way to rate others and their social status. Those who are poor like me aren't deserving to stand next to another person who may be rich. Some children were born into families that could buy anything. Middle-class families save money for a couple of months or years to buy a new car, families like mine won't ever have enough money for a car. However, for rich people buying BMW's or other neat cars is something cheap and easy. Even so, I'm still proud to be what I am. I will be independent. I will create a career on my own, and won't just carry on some family business.
"Kanisa!"
"Coming!"This is my cue to begin the day. Everyday is the same for me; it runs on the same schedule. My mum calls me down with a bunch food waiting at the shelf. Now, this food isn't for me to eat. You see, my mum runs a food delivering service. My mum makes the food, and since we don't have a car I have to bike around the whole city in order to deliver the food. Before my dad used to bike around with the food, but now I'm older and it's my responsibility to not torture their old and worn out legs. A school day for you may start around 6-7 am, but for me, it starts at 3am. I begin with food delivery then go to school at 8:30am. Come back at 4:00, and then do all of my homework till 5. Deliver food again till 9:00pm. Then I go to the "Homora Bubble Tea Shop" and work their until 11:00. I have to work a separate job because of my family's condition. I have to work and get more money so that we can meet all the expenses. Mine and many other families of this narrow alley strive this way to survive.
