Two weeks later...

The Falcon was pure chaos. That was the best way to describe it.

Finn and Poe had spent the last two weeks working on the ship, assisted by Chewie once he was won over to their cause. It wasn't a difficult argument to win.

Now, they were busy loading it with supplies, enough to last them a long enough time to find someone that's lost in space. Kind of hard to estimate, but Rey was sure they'd be fine. Her new saber was attached to her hip, giving her a sense of calm and strength that she needed at this moment.

For her, she had spent the last two weeks concerned with building a new saber, putting Leia and Luke's sabers to rest, and most of all, meditating.

She had realized that her connection with Ben was through the Force. To bolster it and make it stronger, she had to become stronger in the Force. Every night she reached out to him, desperately searching for his location. All she was left with was that feeling. Their bond, seemingly unbreakable. For now.

Rey fell asleep every night wondering where he was, desperate to find him; but comforted knowing he was - at least for now - safe.

"Yeah, don't bother to help or anything," Poe tossed at Rey, struggling with a crate full of rations. Extending her hand, she carried the crate to its rightful place at the back of the Falcon without moving an inch. He glared at her, muttering to himself and stomping out of the ship again.

Chewie sat at the helm, checking the diagnostics and ensuring she was ready for a long, potentially arduous flight.

She took a deep breath, feeling grateful for the people she loved and their willingness to help her. Rey smiled at the boys as they brought the last of the supplies up the ramp, her excitement uncontainable. This was the moment. It felt like it would never come, but now here she was with her best friends, about to find the other end of her Force connection. The man who saved her life.

They offered her hesitant smiles back, not completely sold on this whole mission, but unwilling to let her embark on it alone.

BB-8 rolled excitedly around her feet, whirring and beeping. He was excited to be included, excited for another mission, especially one where they hopefully won't get shot at.

"Hey!" Poe called to his droid, standing next to Chewie, "Aren't you my droid?"

The droid beeped musically, as almost to laugh, and rolled straight over to Poe. Rey laughed to herself, moving further into the cockpit, joining the rest of her crew. Chewie got up from the pilot's chair and roared, telling her the Falcon was ready to go.

"Thank you, Chewie."

She sat down in the chair, all her nerves crashing over her at once. With her crew seated, they looked at her expectantly. Rey had never told them where they were going.

Finn voiced, "Rey? Where to?"

Ah, just a small detail. See, she didn't really know. After weeks of meditation and calling out for Ben, she was no closer to knowing where he was. While she felt like a failure of a Jedi, she knew she was a great scavenger. They would find Ben, and after some contemplation, she knew exactly where to start looking.

Ben woke up, taking the longest breath he had in years. His lungs filled with air, as though he had never breathed before. It didn't take long for him to see that he was still there, floating in nothingness.
