Sam returns

Apparently to Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson, Sam Evans is returning to glee club. I always had a soft spot for him and kinda judged his judgement when he dated Quinn Fabray; yeah she's in glee and she's some what nice but, she wasn't always nice to us. Sneaking around with Sue trying to destroy us from the inside out not even succeeding! "Hey, great news everybody! Sectionals is going to be a challenge, but we have a secret weapon-" "Mr. Shue, we all appreciate your endless supply of affirmations, but all the sparkling cider in the world can't deny the fact that the Titanic has hit the iceberg and now we're on a sinking ship." My brother Kurt interrupted sadly. You see I was the only one who knew besides Rachel and Finn that Sam was coming back because I practically forced it out of her.

*flashback*

"Tell me what you know Berry!" I shouted in Rachel's face in the girls bathroom "I know you know something and I want you to spill it like there's no tomorrow!" She bite her lip and sighed "Fine! But you have to promise not to tell the others because this was supposed to be a surprise for my fellow classmates but I guess you'll be an exception!" Rachel took a pause in between for some random reason "Sam Evans is returning to glee club!" She smiled; I felt my heart skip a beat. My former crush is returning!

*flashback over*

"Not if I can help it." Sam said walking through the door of the choir room with the biggest smile on his face and his has a trouty lips so I think you can imagine how big that smile really was. Everyone runs up to him and I do the same. "Sam!" I said jumping Into his arms. Sam and I were actually really close! That's probably why I had a crush, and that's right i no longer have a crush on that big mouthed cutie. "Baby Jay!" He squeezed me in return; That's my nickname my real name is Jade Hummel. I smile at him and he lets me go to hug the others. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Finn and Rachel. I sort of lost my way, but.... true friends help you find your way back." He simply stated "Let's hear it for Sam Evans!" Finn shouts and then pops the bottle of sparkling cider. "All right, enough of the sentimental stuff." Sam picks up his guitar "It's time y'all get a little country back in this joint." Finn spills some of the cider and I roll my eyes a little and laugh cause Sam knows country isn't really my favorite. Sam then starts playing the chords to Red Solo Cup and everyone gets excited whilst I watch Sam in awe; one of my best friends are back baby!

The bell rings and I catch up with Sam after the free period. "Sam wait up!" I laugh and run up to him "So tell me everything! What did I miss while I was absent in your life." He laughed and looked at the ground "It's a little embarrassing but- I was a stripper and they called me white chocolate!" He chuckled with a little fear of unacceptance "That's wow Sam. I'm guessing you did it for you family so I totally understand." I put my hand on his cheek and caressed it and he leaned into it. I know it's kinda a touchy subject which I totally get "I've missed you Sammy; it hasn't been the same without you and I no longer have to face senior year without you and everybody knows that's the most important year!" He pulls me into his embrace and I started to feel that warmth again but I push it away. "I've missed my small little baby Jay!" He looks down at me and smiles." "And I missed my trouty mouth!" I laughed and he rolled his eyes "Hey you know I love those lips Baby!" He laughs and put his arm around me and we walk off. "So what's your next period?"

"I know, I know! But I'm serious Brittany asked me to join the Cheerios! Apparently Sue wants me on there." I said to Sam and Artie as I handed an apple to Artie in the lunch line "Okay but... joining the Cheerios; I don't know Jay, it just seems too nice to be true." He smiled up at me and rolled over to the glee table. "I think it's nice! I mean I tried to get on the basketball team but now I'm on the synchronize swimming team!" Sam laughed grabbed a plastic fork to use to eat with his Mac and cheese. We met up with Tina and Kurt at the table. "What's so funny Artie?" Tina wondered "Jade got offered to be in the Cheerios but she turned it down." Artie answered "I never said no Artie. Actually I wanna join maybe I can cheer Sam on while he's swimming." I laughed and nudged Sam playfully. I blushed a little feeling like a complete idiot.

After lunch, I went into Sue's office. "You wanted to talk to me?" I walked over to her desk and smiled. "Is this you expecting my invitation to be on the Cheerios little Hummel or?" I nodded my head "Yes I wanna be a Cheerio." I smiled confidently and she stood up and put out her arm for me to shake. She then handed me a Cheerio outfit and told me some rules; pretty self-explanatory. I can't get pregnant, maintain a healthy diet, blah blah blah! I mean what could possibly go wrong! I said as I walked down the hallway holding my uniform as someone walked passed me, splashing an ice cold blueberry slushy straight into my eyes "You'll never be a Cheerio." The teen boy chuckled. I ran into the the bathroom and cried as I cleaned myself up and ran to my car with all my things and drove to a professional cleaning place to clean my uniform and then went home and washed up. I hear my ring and I flip it to see a text from Sam saying 'what happened today? Why no show at glee club?' I called his number and waited for a couple second until he answered.

"Jade are you okay?"

"Sam I've been slushed so many times but this time just felt real personal! Like I'll never be good at anything ever!" I sniffled

"Don't worry. I'm assuming your home so I'll be there in a few minutes." And just like that he hung up.
