The Doctor ran through the flaming corridors of the Daleks' mothership, ducking and dodging blue lasers that just barely missed him.

"EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!" shouted the Daleks. They were getting closer, The Doctor could hear them. But he was nearly there! Almost back to the Tardis! He made one last sharp turn through the hall, and there it was, right where he left it, standing in its own blue, rectangular glory. He sprinted towards it, going so fast he was covering several feet with each massive step.

But as soon as he was no more than twenty feet away, three Daleks came out from the shadows and moved in front of the Tardis. The Doctor skidded to a halt and turned around to run, but the Daleks that were chasing him were covering his escape route. Soon they had him surrounded.

"ANY LAST WORDS DOCTOR?!!", one of them asked.

The Doctor smiled slyly and said "You better start running."

"FROM WHAT?!!", it demanded.

The Doctor quickly pulled out his sonic screwdriver and aimed it at a pipe. The tube burst and out came a gas that was immediately ignited by the flames.
"That burning gas is going to travel through all the pipes on your ship, and straight down to your main fuel source," explained the Doctor. "That's going to cause one hell of an explosion. Your ship won't be anything more than a few pieces of charred scrap metal. I believe you have about ten seconds to get somewhere safe."

"NOOOOO!!! EMERGENCY!!! EMERGENCY!!!" All the Daleks immediately turned and started shooting at the pipes in some pointless attempt to stop the spread of burning gas. While they were distracted, the Doctor made a break for the Tardis. He unlocked and opened the door, but as soon as he put one foot into the Tardis, a gas pipe in the floor exploded and enveloped his other foot in a ball of flames.

He screamed in agony. "AAAARRRHHH!"

He managed to limp into the Tardis and reach the console. The pain was starting to take over. He could feel himself losing consciousness. His vision was hazy, but he miraculously was able to pilot the Tardis into the time vortex. Then all he saw was black, and collapsed onto the floor.
