It was a normal Monday morning. The streets were busy as people rushed to get to work. Car horns were honking as enraged drivers shouted at pedestrians who were quickly making their way across the roads.
To most, yes, this was a very normal day. However, for one school, the normal was much, much different.
On this Monday, two people were training in a room at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters dubbed the 'Danger Room' for the dangerous programs used to train the students.
You see, the students attending this 'school' had special abilities. Some were able to move objects using only their minds. Others were able to manipulate the weather, and some had multiple abilities.
Much like our heroine, who was currently occupying the Danger Room with her mentor, Logan.
"Logan! Logan, look! It's working!" An excited female voice rang out from the Danger Room.
Inside the Danger Room stood a short, brown haired female with her hands outstretched. Leaning against a burnt out car stood a rugged looking man with short hair.
In front of the young girl was a brownish-red liquid, shaky and changing in shape. Eventually, the liquid stabilised into a sort of whip causing the young girl to cheer loudly at her success.
The man leaned off the decrepit car and clapped. "Good job, kid"
Hearing the man's praise, the young female turned to him, her whip all but forgot. "Aw shucks, Logan. It wasn't that hard, really!"
Logan chuckled and gestured behind the female as if to return her attention to the long forgotten whip. "Well, Rose, if you paid more attention to your whip, you would have noticed it's gone."
Rose quickly whipped her head back to where she thought the whip was. She sighed in disappointment, noticing is disappearance. "Aw man"
With a loud beep, the holograms disappeared, revealing a plain grey room. Rose walked towards the exit with her head down.
"Thanks for helping me again, Logan, even though we didn't get anywhere." She waved behind her, eyes still focused on the ground.
Before she could reach the exit, the doors slid open to reveal an old, bald man in a wheelchair, accompanied by two other gentlemen; one with darker skin and another wearing black sunglasses.
Rose grinned as she waved at the man in the wheelchair. "Hi professor!"
'Hello, Rose. How was training today?' Replied the professor's calm voice.
Rose perked up at the mention of her training. It was no secret that Rose had issues controlling her powers. That's why any control over her powers, even the smallest control, was a great achievement in her eyes.
"It was great! I made a whip and..." She trailed off, taking in the other two people behind the professor.
She titled her head to the side as she observed them.
"Uh, hi Tony. Why are you here?"
