Leo POV

The trees shook as the wind roared, seeming to shake the entire planet. The skies were black, completely devoid of light, the sun nor the stars in sight. And there amidst it all they stood; the 12 celestials, standing together as one.

"Leo..." The signs' leader turned to the worried girl standing next to him. Looking down at her with warm eyes, he squeezed her shaking hand tighter to which she did the same, providing comfort for them both. With trembling lips, she whispered into his ear.

"I love y--"

"LEO!" My head snapped upwards immedietly at the sound of my name. There in front of my desk was my best friend, Gemini. His hands were on his face in an attempt to stifle his laughter.

"What the hell's so funny?" Asking that only made him laugh even harder.

"You...you were...talking... in sleep..!" He explained in between his laughter. My eyes widened.

"What did I say?!?" I asked in bewilderment. The last time I had talked in my sleep was second grade, so why was I saying things now?

In response, Gemini stood up onto a nearby chair. "The darkness! Oh the horrid eeeevil~! Hold my hand before I pee my pants!" He mocked in a high pitched voice, flailing his arms around. I laughed under my breath at his ridiculous theatrics.

While he was laughing, I looked around the room. Besides Gemini, no one else was in the room. "Dude, where'd everyone go?" I asked him. "CRAP, DON'T TELL ME I SLEPT THROUGH MY CLASSES!"

Gemini being the horrid person he was laughed at my panic. At this point, tears were streaming down his face and he was clutching his stomach. I waited until he calmed down to speak again.

"Are you done now?" I raised my eyebrow. He took a deep shaky breath, a goofy smile resting on his face.

"I feel like I grew abs." He chuckled. "And no, you didn't sleep through class. It's lunch right now." I sighed in relief.

"Thank god, I'm starving." I complained loudly, already walking out the door.

"Not so fast Princess Leona! Jefferson said he wanted to see you." I audibly groaned while Gemini snickered.

Ron Jefferson, my Math teacher, A.K.A. the worst person alive.

"What the hell does he want this time??" I massaged the bridge of my nose.

"I think he said something about you being a disappointment to mathematicians around the world..? Not sure." He shrugged. I sighed loudly and picked up my backpack.

"Buy me lunch, would you?" I told Gemini, tossing a ten dollar bill at his face.

"Of course, your highness." Gemini bowed, rolling his eyes.

Leaving Gemini, I walked to the Math classroom. Upon arrival, I heard voices from the inside.

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to decline. I have a lot on my plate already, I don't think I could handle having to tutor someone." A feminine voice apologized. I squinted my eyes through the door crack to peek in.

"Fine. If you tutor him, I'll give you extra credit for the rest of the semester!" Jefferson added.

"I don't know..." The girl still sounded uncomfortable.

"You got a B- on your test today, Virgo. You need these points to boost up your grade." She still looked unconvinced. "I'm sure your Mother wouldn't be happy to hear your grades are falling. I know she can be quite strict about those things." Jesus, this man was a slimeball.

"You wouldn't.." Virgo shook her head slowly.

"Oh, I would. Now, are you going to tutor him, or shall I call your Mother?" There was silence before she finally spoke.

"I would love to tutor him, Mr. Jefferson." She smiled tightly, fists clenched.

"Great to hear! I knew you'd come around, Virgo." He grinned menacingly. "You can come in now, Leo."

My eyes widened. I opened the door sheepishly, laughing awkwardly. "I wasn't listening. I just got here. Like two seconds ago."

The girl looked me up and down before looking back at the teacher. "This is the guy I'm tutoring?"

"Don't sound too excited." I mumbled sarcastically. "And what do you mean tutoring? I never agreed to any of this."

"Leo, this is Virgo, your new tutor. Virgo, this is Leo, the student you will be tutoring." Her eyebrows were knitted together as she glared at me.

"No need to stare, sweetheart. I know I'm gorgeous." I winked at her, making her gag. Wow, it seems I made her so nervous she forgot to breathe.

"Well, have fun!" Before either of us could protest, he was gone, leaving the both of us alone.
