Celestial Heartbeat is a story that I think I came up with in about 2010. Like so many of my stories, it just wound up pushed to the back of my mind. I liked the idea of creating a character like Evie, who is both physically tiny, yet powerful. And Ren, a boy who is physically intimidating, but who lacks in real power. I posted the first two chapters of this story on Wattpad in 2012 and then sort of forgot Wattpad existed. But now, coming back in 2014 to this story and writing and planning more into it I love Ren and Evie both to pieces, and I can't let their story not be told.
It's a small twist on the werewolf genre, playing on the idea of how a werewolf would come to be. In Ren's case, it's a curse. In a weird way, Celestial Heartbeat is sort of like a retelling/revamp of Beauty and the Beast.
I hope you enjoy Evie and Ren's story, and love them as much as I do!
