Hey beautiful people! While I'm re-reading WHERE IT ALL BEGAN to follow the story sequence for the second book. I've had thought of another one, this usually happens whenever I'm brainstorming with myself. Hahahaha! Sorry! Anyways, here's a little pre-chapter. Like a pre-test if you guys will like the story.
Also, I based this from a manga I read, NOT ENTIRELY, just a little idea that I can't get off my head. If you know KS and you're having attraction with SW, then maaaaaaan, we both need psychiatric help. —J.

The lights went out all of a sudden. The cyclone in the country must have taken some electrical posts down and now we've lost electricity.I gulp in fear, thinking that what if he's already lurking in the dark and has a night vision. Just waiting for me to realize he's behind me before hearing me scream and slash my throat.
"Gochida?" He calls, "Gochida?"
My heart pounds, "Y—Yes?"
"Don't move."
"W—Why? Is it bad?"
"Just don't move."
I swallow with my sweat dripping down my forehead even though the wind gushing from the window is freezing cold.
His phone's flashlight turns on, revealing his dead expression, "Why are you stuttering?"
"AH!" I screamed in shock, "S—Sorry.."
"Stay here." He said, he turns around and was about to walk away, "Here. Take it." He offers me his phone.
"Why?"
"So you won't be left alone without light."
"I—It's okay. You can take it."
"I can still see with the light farther, just keep it on and face down."
"Should I come with you?"
"It's okay. I know you're scared of me."
"I—"
He walked towards me and gave me his phone in my hands. "Stay here." He then left to a dimmer room.
I felt sick, I felt bad for thinking badly about him. The way he said it, it's blank. He probably gets so much judgement from people that he got so used to it and can tell if they're terrified of him being around or just being left alone with him.
I grit my teeth and exhaled sharply. I stood up and walked to where he is at.
He looks at me, "What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to stay there?"
"I just thought you need more light to find what you're looking for."
He didn't speak and continued searching in his drawers.
"What are you looking for?" I asked.
"Candles. Matches or Lighters."
I stood at the entrance, mouth zipped for a moment. Then despite not knowing what to say, I talked because I wanted to break the terrifying silence.
"I'm sorry for stuttering a while ago.."
He crouches to get to the fourth drawer and went on rustling around stacks of things.
"I know I acted irrational with those stutters.. but I'm.. I'm actually scared of the dark."
The drawer made a thud as it got closed, he stands up and turns around, "And of me."
"I.. no. It's just it went dark and—"
"You're thinking of me the way the people thinks of me. I can tell. I've lived all through these years with the people thinking of me like that. It's not something new."
"Jeoju.."
"I'll appreciate it even more if you just tell me the truth."
I sighed, "Fine.. yes.. for a moment I was thinking negatively. Maybe because it's dark and the thoughts of what they're saying about you played my mind and.."
"And?"
"And I thought you're really.."
He made a little smile, "People are pathetic." Lifting his arms, revealing both the lighter and the candle in his hands. He clicks the lighter open and holds a glass of scented candle. The candle lit up pretty fast and it burns the wax with the smell of pinecone.
We walked out of the room and placed the candle on the countertop. I pulled the tall chair and sat down.
"Here's your phone. Thanks."
"I'll go find more candles."
"What, why?"
"It's still a little dim."
"It's okay. I can see things now compared to the total sudden blackout."
"You might still be afraid. It's the least I can do to make you feel comfortable."
"I'm fine Jeoju. Don't go looking for more, we might burn the house down. One is enough."
"I understand. I'll just stay in the living room then."
"Huh? Why?"
"I'm concerned about you."
"No, no. I'm fine. Just.. stay here."
"You're scared of me. I don't like being around people who are terrified of me, vocally or secretly."
When he was about to walk away, I immediately stood up and grabbed his wrist. He looks at my hand, surprised. Although I must admit, he looks scary with his usually normal dead expression. It's his face, not because of something else. "Stay with me."
