ADMIN NOTE: hi guys! this is actually my very first group rp i'm hosting, so i'm super psyched!! i know most of you will probably think i'm a borderline sociopath after reading this plot idea, but hear me out.
just for a little background first, i've recently become a little invested - to say the least - in the UK reality tv show 'love island.' i've binged the past three seasons, and as incredibly cringey as they might be, i'm hooked. ( as a side note, i'm also kind of a horror junkie. )
i've been dying to do a love island inspired rp since i've started watching the show ( especially since they cancelled it this summer ), but i knew i probably wouldn't have the motivation to keep up w it since the show gets a little repetitive. so how does one spice things up and make the plot a little more interesting? by adding murder, of course. what better way to achieve what i desire than to combine two extremely conflicting genres into one fucked up plot?
basically, things will start out pretty standard, and then the islanders will gradually start picking up on weird occurrences that will def throw up some red flags. and things will only get more weird and disturbing from there.
i don't want to make it too dark. like obviously death will be mentioned so it'll get pretty morbid ( TRIGGER WARNING: if you're not comfortable with darker themes — murder, suicide, etc. — this is NOT the roleplay for you!! ). but i also wanna throw in some more humorous elements as well so it's not just constant dread the entire time.
anyway, that's enough rambling for now. more info will be in the following chapters, and i'm looking forward to rping w you guys!
