Truth Time

Sure to his word Dex returned to the palace the next day with breakfast and 10 Things I Hate About You only when he got up to Hopes bedroom she was still asleep. He didn't know whether or not to wake her she looked so peaceful well as peaceful as you can look whilst your drooling. Emma pokes her head around the door and saw Dex sat in Hopes sulking chair as he watched her sleep it reminded her of Killian watching over her as she slept when he returned from the underworld
"You know I can wake her if you want?" Emma whispered
"No it's ok this is the first time she's slept since the Dalton incident" he whispered back
"How do you know that?" Emma asked
"She will sleep for weeks!" He laughed
"He's right!" A groggy Hope laughed "you came" she said rolling over to the balcony whilst Emma slipped out
"Did you ever doubt I would?" He laughed handing her a brown bag of Hopes favourite breakfast pastries
"How Granny's isn't even open yet?" She asked pushing her hair into a ponytail
"Well being Granny's favourite and only grandchild has its perks!" He said kissing her
"Two meters mate!" Killian said as he swung around the door
"Yes sir!" Dex nodded as he climbed back off the bed and into the chair
"Daddy what is it?" Hope asked giving him a look of death he walked over and whispered
"I thought I'd come up and remind you to maybe brush your teeth, shower etc lass you get a little smelly in the morning just like your mother!" Hope turned her head and realised her dad was right she held her hands up in defeat
"Alright, alright I'm going! Dex I'll be back in five I'm just going to freshen up!" She giggled
"Right now she's gone," Killian started as Dex began to squirm "you my boy have my blessing to come within two meters of my daughter but as I have told you before this little beauty has been missing her action. You hurt my daughter and I promise you I'll give her the action she has so desperately been missing!" He laughed
"Yes sir!" Dex said although he was thinking she hurt me and my mother would quite like to drop a house on her but he didn't because he knew as well as everyone else did Hope was the love of his life! Killian left and Hope came out of the bathroom in grey flannel shorts a black tank top, her hair in a perfectly curled ponytail and her signature natural makeup even though she was brushing her teeth Dex still couldn't take his eyes off of her
"What? Have I missed a bit of my eyebrow again?" She asked
"No you just look gorgeous!" He told her
"Shut up!" She laughed toothpaste almost falling out of her mouth one she had finished brushing her teeth she stood up the pillows on her bed whilst Dex put the DVD in the TV. She tapped the empty side of the bed and Dex sat down next to her she placed her head on his shoulder and he draped his arm around her
"Dex," she said looking up at him "I'm so glad you forgave me!"
"Princess I don't think I could have stayed mad at you any longer in fact if you hadn't of called me last night I probably would've dropped a house on myself!"
"Funny, because your Mum is Dorothy!" She laughed as she cuddled back into him. Once the film had finished Hope decided it was time she call Darling and explain and hope that she could forgive her
Darl hey you ok?
Hope hey yeah I'm ok how are you doing you know with the whole sleeping with my brother sitch?
Great me and your brother agreed it was a drunk mistake Dex is actually here right now we spoke about it and it's behind us. I was actually calling to see if we were ok?
Hope you slept with my brother because you were pissed you didn't kill anyone of course we're ok I think it's funny actually!
Trust me I didn't think it was funny when I remembered it the next day
Wait so you didn't chase Dex out?
No not to my knowledge
Hope that is class! Anyway I've got to go I'm heading over to Elijah's today love to you!

"Bloody hell that was easier than I thought it was going to be!" She laughed
"Hope there's something I didn't tell you about that night probably the real reason you drank so much and ended up in bed with Dalton!" Dex admitted rather sheepishly
"Dex what happened?"
"Me and you had a huge fight on the way to the party and I told you I didn't wanted to have a break!"
"Hold on so whilst I was up here driving myself insane thinking I had cheated on you we weren't even together!"
"Well I suppose so but"
"But nothing WE WERE ON A BREAK! You let me torture myself when really I had no reason to be!" Dex walked over to where Hope was now standing and tried to hug her
"Get your hands off of me now! In fact leave take all of your shit that's here and go!" Dex didn't say anything he took the things of his that were visible and left
"I love you Hope!"
"It's too late for that now" she cried. She dropped to the floor and screamed. She was in so much pain she physically couldn't move Emma came running into the bedroom after hearing the screaming and saw her in a heap on the floor
"Hope what's wrong?" Emma questioned rushing to Hope but Hope couldn't get any words out. Hope had cried so much she had made herself sick. Emma sat beside her and couldn't think of what to do
"Hope you need to tell me what's wrong!" She said tears starting to fill her eyes "I can't help if I don't know what's wrong!" Hope knew she couldn't speak so she pointed to the dreamcatcher that was on the wall "Hope no I can't use that on you!" Hope nodded as she knew it was the only way to show her Mom what had happened. Emma pushed Hope off of her and made her way over the dreamcatcher she placed it in front of her and watched the events that had led up to Hope becoming so withdrawn
"Hope sweetie I'm so sorry!"
"Mummy it hurts!" Hope managed to blurt out every word hurting her more than the last
"I know Ducky I know!" Emma pulled Hope up on to her lap and allowed her to lie their whilst she continued to cry Emma stoked her hair trying her hardest to help her sleep but Hope just continued to cry with the occasional yelp from the pain it caused. Killian had been out with David since speaking with Dex in the morning and had no idea what had happened since he left when he returned to the palace it looked as though all life had been drained from it as he walked in through the doors he heard Hope crying and dashed up the stairs to her room. He found Hopes head in her mothers lap
"What the bloody hell did he do?" Killian yelled Emma pointed to the dreamcatcher and Killian watched the fight
"Hope I'm so sorry I wasn't here!" He said as she grabbed his hook
"Killian I was downstairs and trust me even if you were here there was nothing you could have done!"
"He let our daughter torment herself when he knew what had really led her to do that. I'm sorry love he won't get away with it I can promise you that!"
"No!" Hope cried "please don't hurt him!" Killian didn't understand he was watching his daughters heart break and she wouldn't let him hurt the person responsible
"As you wish!" He said as he sat on the floor beside her bed. Her parents sat with her for hours until she finally fell asleep. Emma called Ruby and Dorothy who couldn't apologise enough they told Emma of how stroppy and miserable he had been since Hope had slept with Dalton but they had no idea Dex had put them on a break before hand. Days passed and Hope refused to leave her room, she refused to eat and refused to go to school her parents had no idea how to comfort her they had both had their hearts broken but they both took polar opposite paths to cure them Emma had built her walls up so thick and high only Killian had managed to break them down whilst Killian had sought out revenge on Rumplestiltskin for over a century. Hope only wanted ice cream and to be held at every chance possible.
