Authors note:

Well this is my first book. So yeah. Have fun reading. And yesh Magik. Magik.

This isn't your regular fairy tale where the good guys always win. No, this is a tale far different from anything you've ever heard. Now listen closely to hear the tale. There once was a girl. Now this girl, named Rachel, she was a good girl up until her 15th birthday. That's when she started acting different and started acting rebellious towards her parents. Now Rachel was known to be very smart and very kind. But she started acting so different and mean that her friends started questioning their friendship. You see, something very unusual had happened when she was a baby. Magik. A type of magik more powerful than ever before. When she was a baby she was given a beautiful black obsidian necklace. Her parents were extremely happy when they received this gift for their daughter. What they didn't know was that this obsidian wasn't your regular obsidian. No, this obsidian held magik within its core. Faery magik, dragon magik, light magik, and the most infamous magik, dark magik. All kinds of magik put together. Since Rachel's first birthday she has worn that necklace. The obsidian was cursed and blest. Yes, you read that right. It was said that on her 13th birthday she would become the perfect young woman and she did. But all good things must end at some point. The curse said that when she turned 15 she would become rebellious and hateful and judgmental and sinful. Well that's exactly what happened. And that's where our story begins. But this story has no heroes or heroines. Lets begin. Rachel, who just turned 15, was eager to get to school to show off her new hair cut. "Bye, Mom!" She shouted as she rushed out the door into the grey morning. As soon as she closed the door she scoffed and shook her head a little bit to make her hair look messier. She opened her purse and took out her iPhone in its designer case and put her headphones in her ears. "Hm...My Chem or Coldplay?" She asked herself, walking down the driveway to the bus which was stopped in front of her house. She shrugged and just put it on shuffle and walked to the bus with her iPhone in her pocket. The song Ghost Of You blasted into her ears and she jumped a little. She whipped out her iPhone as she sat down in a seat by herself. She changed the song to Fallen Angels and put it back in her pocket. She leaned her head against the window and sighed. "When am I gonna get out of this godawful place?" Rachel said a bit too loudly. A couple of heads turned and glared at her, especially Debbie Carter. Debbie, being the "popular", scoffed and pointed at Rachel. "She's such a goth!" Debbie told her clique of two who were sitting with her. Rachel looked down at her clothes and shook her head. She was wearing a white t-shirt with the words "Killjoys Never Die" imprinted on it, her black paint-splattered jeans, and her signature black and white stripe fingerless glove on her right hand and her black fishnet fingerless glove on her left. "Oh sweetie this isn't goth. Just look at your clothes. You look like you just stepped out of a Scene magazine!" Rachel sneered back at Debbie. Debbie rolled her eyes and went back to chatting with her peers. Rachel wished she could just raise her middle finger to Debbie, but she knew it'd get her in trouble. She turned back to the window and watched the rows of trees as the bus passed by them. As soon as the bus arrived at Woodrow High School Rachel jerked her headphones out and wrapped them around her iPhone. She placed it in her purse and got off the bus. She was worried that no one would notice so she rushed into the school and got her things from her locker. She rushed to class not watching where she was going. She bumped into the principal and dropped her books on his feet. "OW!" He exclaimed. "Oh I'm so sorry. So sorry. Won't happen again." She said as she picked up her books. She rushed off into her home room classroom without letting him speak. The rest of the day went on uneventful.

End of Chapter 1.

Chapter 2

Well we must continue on. But before that we must skip ahead. For you see Rachel still has no idea what was in the Unknown Obsidian. Now let us continue. It wasn't until three days after this that Rachel found out about magik. When she found out she freaked out. Now continuing on. The day she found out was supposed to be a normal Wednesday. Supposed to be.
