Chapter I:

The squeek of the old swing was definite, they moved as if an apparition had decided to stick around. I walked on an old path.

The rain started to pour as I walked to the old, muddy, and forgotten road. I saw Johnny leaning by the old lampost. His eyes were closed, he was sitting still even with the bone chilling rain.

From affar, I thought he was wearing a red t-shirt. I slowly walked towards him, memorizing the words that I'm going to use to scold him because he didn't show up at our meeting place... The old playground.

Some people said it was haunted, that something evil was lurking in the playground. They said a girl died in the playground, they didn't really elaborate, they just said that one evening Mr. Thompson---the police night patroler---saw a girl at the playground. He assumed someone was with her because he heard her talking to someone, but didn't see who it was.

When he cameback to check on her, he found her on the swing, hanging lifeless. Blood dripping from her throat. The odd thing was....she was smiling, like all her worries were taken away from her.

But me and Johnny didn't care because it was the only place we could be ourselves. And we assumed that the story was just a hoax to scare little children who tried to sneak out at night.

As I got closer, I realized Johnny wasn't wearing a red t-shirt, he was drenched in blood.

That stopped me from my tracks. From shock I bit the side of my cheek and my mouth was filled with lead---blood.

I just hate the taste of blood, it's the most disgusting thing that I have ever tasted. It's the only flavor that doesn't disappear quickly---it stays for a while until it's the only thing you could taste.

Chapter II:

The rain got heavier, the only thing that I could hear was the impact of water into the muddy road.

The voice inside my head suddenly screamed at me, telling me to move and not just stand there. My confusion was still fighting back from the screaming voice.

Question after question started to flood my thoughts, defeating the arguing; screaming voice and confusion.
