Alex's POV

Everything was pretty weird right now and it was even worse that Taylor's eyes were looking at my side and I knew he could probably see the side of my breast cause the towel only covered so much. I sighed and looked around trying to think of a topic to start talking about so everything wasn't so quiet and uncomfortable.

"So...why are you a mechanic," I asked as he glanced at me and then looked back at what he was doing.

"Because it's the only job I could get and I know cars," he said as I nodded my head.

"But...wouldn't it be easier to get a better job...higher pay...better place to live," I asked as he chuckled and shook his head.

"I didn't finish school Princess," he said as I looked at him again.

"How could you not finish school...it's school it's not that hard," I said as he shook his head.

"I...was pissed off and mad and couldn't concentrate so I dropped out," he said as I now wondered if I should ask the next question or not. "Why are you talking to me," he asked as he stopped for a second and looked at me.

"Because I thought it would be better then quietness...and...I'll feel better if I know you a bit better," I admitted which was true but also because I was curious about him and wanted to know a bit more about him.

"Well then...what do you want to know," he asked me before going back to the tattoo.

"Alright...why were you pissed off," I asked as he sighed.

"Long story," he said as he continued to concentrate on my tattoo.

"We have time," I said as he chuckled slightly. "Alright then why don't you tell me about your family," I suggested as he sighed.

"Long story," he said again as I sighed this time and looked up at the ceiling of his apartment ignoring the pain now which actually wasn't that bad anymore it was actually just kind of irritating now more so then anything else.

"Yeah this talk is going really well," I said sarcastically as he chuckled and shook his head.

"I...don't really have a family anymore," he said as I looked over at him again.

"What," I said now shocked and slightly sad that he didn't have a family. I didn't even want to imagine not having a family; my life would really suck if I had no family. "What do you mean by that," I asked as curiosity slipped from my lips.

"Well," he said before he cleared his throat and sighed. "You want the long story...or the short version," he asked as I looked at him. "I'll take that as the long story," he said as I nodded my head. "Well...my mother was...well she's rich like you and your folks and I mean exactly like you and your friends and family. She met my dad one day and started hanging out with him and then started dating him and then when the year was coming to an end she had to go through that whole picking a husband thing...except she found out she was pregnant. She wanted to get rid of me but my father forced her to have me anyways. He took her away for the year and then once I was born and she was back in shape she went home and her family still doesn't know she had me...she now is living in a four story house with a husband who's a lawyer and she has two kids," he said as I looked at him with wide eyes.

"W-what about your dad then," I asked him as he sighed.

"He raised me and taught me everything I know about cars and then one day I came home from school and he was gone...he left me a note saying that he couldn't actually look me in the face and say goodbye so he left while I was at school. He said that he was going to make our lives better he just needed some time and he promised he'd be back soon...that was six years ago," he said as I nodded my head.
