Where is everyone?

Chapter 1 Waking up

It's a normal hot muggy summer Monday in the 90's. Jeffery woke up at 10 am the usual but something seemed different this morning, but i dont know what. I just shrugged it off because i want today to be perfect i'm spending the day with my girlfriend, Jessica. I'm meeting her at the High school then we are going out for ice cream at Sweet Scoops. I got up, got dressed, and went to the kitchen to see what mom cooked for breakfeast but no one was there to greet me. "That's weird where did mom go if she leaves she usually lets me know" I said. "Dad" I shouted, "Dad are you here?"No reply. I shouted for my sister Sam ,"SAM are you here?" "Where is everybody?" It was then that had I checked the date and realized, It's 2000 I had been asleep for 10 years!! How is this possible? I had forgotten that on February 22,1990 Someone broke into my house and shot me and i was put in a coma. I haven't been asleep at all I've been in a coma. Ok i know what happened to me but where is everyone?

Mom's purse is here, so is dad's wallet and Sam's phone. Uhh ohh i have that bad feeling again Sam never leaves without here phone. I ran out into the street it was so trashed there was a dead body on the ground. It is my neighbor Josh's brother, Jacob. He was shot in his head. SAM'S SHOE!!! Something's wrong. I need to go find Jessica maybe she'll know what happened. I ran Jessica's house banged on the door. No answer. It's unlocked, I walked in. "BABE, Jessica are you here??" Someone grabs me from behind and pulls me into what looks like Jessica's room.They let go, then i turned around, it was Jessica. "Oh my god i'm so glad I found you." I stated loudly. "Shut up before they hear you" She whispered."Who is they? What are you talking about?" I asked. "Are you bit?" She asked. "No why would I be?"I asked. "Did the walkers bite you?" Jessica restated. "Jessica what the hell are you talking about?" I asked. "You don't know do you?" She asked. "Know what? What don't I know?" I asked her. "How are you alive, you got shot?" She asked. "I don't know." I said. "Well anyways, It's the apocolypse it's happening right now." She said. "Well, how long has this been going on?" I asked. "It all started when you got shot." She said. "Why? How?" I asked. I'm still trying to piece all of this together.

"So much to process in such little time." I said. Jessica muttered, "Can you sho-" "Woah! Slow down I'm still trying to process the whole concept." I cut her off. "I'm sorry,Honey. But you're going to have to hurry up and process it if you want to survive." Jessica harshly said. "Damn you'v-" I stopped. "Shut up they heard us. They're coming. Come on, it's no longer safe here anymore. We must go." Jessica whispered. "O..Ok." I stuttered.
