Standing in front of the dirty mirror Akana held her right eye in place. The tweezers in her right hand were trembling as she had tears in her bloodshot eyes. Slowly navigating the piece of cold metal between her full black lashes she picked on one. Tears fell down as she squeezed her eyes shut when she pulled at one lash which hurt exceptionally. Holding her mouth shut she whined into her palm. The tweezers fell into the sink as she held her eye crying. It did hurt like hell and she tried to suppress the feeling of crying but her sensitive eye just didn't want to cooperate with her. She bit into her lower lip as she suppressed her whining. She grabbed the tweezers forcefully and looked into the mirror. Her left hand held onto the white sink. One by one she plugged those which were especially long and feminine. Thick tears fell down her pale cheeks as they slowly meet at her round chin and merge into a bigger tear - falling on the ground. Her left hand turned white while her fingernails scraped the smooth surface of the sink. The rubbing of her eyeball seemed to irritate her bloodshot eyes even more.

Brushing her brows up she looked in the mirror. Short spiky hair met her gaze. Her hair bounced swiftly with every movement. Her usually tamed eyebrows were thick and bushy. Her eyes seemed more masculine without the full ring of black lashes. Blinking she smiled to herself. Her shaking hand slowly made her way to the white linen bandages that were on the sink. Grasping them she looked at the rough fabric. Sighing she let her shirt fall onto the dirty ground. She held her breath when she wrapped the bandages around her undeveloped bosom tight. It wasn't really hard to hide her breasts since they didn't have any form to it. Her ribs were showing and the fact that her bony hips were poking out so scrawny made her eyes look down. Smiling silently she looked back up right into her now boy looking face.

"Stop looking so depressed! This is a chance to stop this madness! Grow strong - stronger as every high ranking Uchiha Official! Quit whining around like a puppy because no one will care if your family or you die.", her charcoal orbs glowed in the slightly illuminated makeshift bathroom as she fist-bumped her own reflection "You're not a whiny girl anymore, Akane". Slowly leaning her pale forehead onto the cold mirror she looked into her own eyes. The fire of determination and bloodlust glowed in her dark eyes.

"The fate of your family is now in your hands...", suddenly the only candle in the room had gone out by a strong wind coming in from the window blowing the only source of light out. Her baggy clothing fluttered alongside with her short spiky hair. The sound of the wind echoed in the small room.

"Uchiha Isamu." and with those words, her red Sharingan flared up in the darkroom. Her dark orbs rotated into the pattern of the Sharingan while the white sclera of her eyes seemed even more prominent now. She couldn't help herself and started smirking when she saw the eyes she was forbidden to use flare-up. Now since she is officially a male she was able to show everyone she possessed the dojutsu of the mighty Uchiha clan. She isn't forced to hide behind the facade of her. The feeling of power ran through her whole body causing her to grin. This would be easy for her.

This wasn't easy at all, Akane thought to herself when she saw the crying faces of her siblings in front of her the next morning. Smiling to herself she patted them on the head.

"You guys cut the crying it's not like you will not see me ever again.", Isamu chuckled silently while looking at the faces of Kosuke, Souta, and Yuuto. Kosuke was crying furiously and whining while he grabbed onto her sleeve. Souta was behind him and had tears in his eyes. Souta looked to his side to see his younger brother Yuuto clinging on Akane as well. Souta tried to hold the urge to cry sister back but when he saw them all cuddling on the wooden floor he couldn't help himself as dropping on to the ground hugging his "new" brother. The small shoulders of Souta began to shake drastically as he cried silently.

"I'm sorry, Akane-chan", he muttered as he pushed his face between the bodies of his other siblings. Releasing one hand Akane slowly pet the head of Souta. Akane gave him a closed-eye smile as she whispered "Anything for you little one, there is no need to apologize.", she chuckled as she opened her eyes to see a surprised and flushed Souta.

"You need to care for the family now, Souta", Akane continued to talk a serious look is now on her face. She licked her lips and slowly stood up "Kosuke and Yuuto need your guidance while I'm on duty. I depend on you, Souta.", smiling she slowly released the grip from both of her other brothers and stood up.

"While I'm away I expect all three of you to behave good and train hard. I will eventually come back stronger and get you all out of this hellhole.", she smirked at them and turned around to face the stern grimace of her father. Akane started to fumble something out of her pocket. The small pouch of coins ringed in the ears of every family member. Akane threw the pouch high only to get caught by the surprised father. "This is the money I saved up until now. It should be sufficient alongside the money I will send when I am on duty.", she said as she saw how her father tried to compose his attire. Quietly she chuckled and shook her head. She kissed all of her brothers silently on their heads. Taking her bag and katana she slowly made her way out of the house. However, before she could make her way out of the door a hand holding on to her wrist made her halter in her steps. Surprised she looked at the sad face of her father.

"Come back safe, will you?", he muttered slowly. Her eyes began to water as she smiled at him. He knew that those kinds of promises where pointless when entering a war. People would die every day - making her no exception. She would even have to be on the front rows because of their social status. This thought made him even more desperate. His little daughter had to grow up only because of this damned clan. Only because this world seemed to run of hatred and war. The life of a Shinobi was a ruthless one. But the calm expression of the face of his daughter calmed him down instantly. The face of his wife flashed in front of him making him tense up again and the hand on her wrist grabbed her stronger.

"Of course I will, Oto-San! Did you forget what kind of cloth I'm cut out? I will come safe and sound - no worries! And when I'm back we will move.", she said bubbly and laughing. Taking a step forward she placed a kiss on his cheek and winked at them while taking her way out of the house. The questioning gaze of her father ignoring she smirked.

"Because I will bring honor to our family - because that's my ninja way...", she grinned over her shoulder when she shut down the door and made her way out.
