Alex

I walked out of the airport as my manager continued to fill the details of today's meeting. My clients from America had finally decided to settle the score and join our partnership.

The moment I got back here I was anxious to visit the hotel. Because someone I knew was working there.

There was an energy which was burning the sides of my cheeks.

On our way to the hotel, my manager informed that the chief manager of the crew who was supposed to attend the meeting had gotten a stomach infection and was admitted to the hospital. I told the driver to visit him first. This way, we could strengthen our business relations on a friendly term.

I stepped out of the car and waited outside the hospital for the room number in which the client was admitted.

As soon as I recieved it, I headed towards the designated room. After meeting him, we headed back to the hotel and postponed the meetings for a few days. When I reached there, I didn't see her. Probably, she was busy in work. Liam had already arrived.

I went to my room and continued to go through the emails. This was what I hated to do the most, so I picked it as a time killing hobby since the early days of my career.

Just then, Liam entered.

"He will probably be discharged by tomorrow, " he reported.

"That's good."

"You just finished your trip. You should rest a little."

I pressed my lips in a thin line and continued to work.

Liam understood and took a seat on the couch.

After I was done, I decided to relax a little.

"Get me a cup of coffee."

He said a nonchalant okay and called the room service.

I went back to the time I had first seen her, admiring the painting on the wall.

And then, the anticipated knock was soon heard.

"I guess your coffee arrived," Liam said.

"Yeah. I'll go recieve it." I said getting up from the couch.

I gave it a thought.

"Liam, can you recieve it for me?" I asked.

He looked with uncertainty at me, but after a little pause, "Yep sure."

I was wondering if it was okay for me to get it, since she was the one to deliver it everytime. But I decided to ignore it. I was trying to forget her since she didn't want to see me anymore.

If she had, she wouldn't have gone away like that.

Liam opened the door and I heard her speak louder than I had imagined she would.

"Are you the one who ordered coffee??"

Was she expecting me?

"Yes why?" Liam asked. I could tell he was agitated by her tone. A smirk played on my face.

You know.. It's sane in business to eavesdrop on people.

"I'm here to deliver it." she said.

A pause followed, but I soon heard Liam say, "What!?" His words rang around more profoundly.

What's wrong?

Without giving it a thought, I began to walk towards the door and when I reached there, I saw Liam, the coffee mug in his hands, his face stunned and... she was gone.
