「Phase 07」 The New Brand? Mai's Message!

Another day of hard work at Celestial Academy was coming to a close. The student's in Mai's class were packing their bags, preparing for their work during the rest of that day.

"Today went by so fast..." Mai commented, placing her notebook inside her bag.

"That was fast for you?" Hinata asked, standing next to her. She had slung her bag over her shoulder, waiting as her friend put everything way. "It felt like forever for me. Written lessons are even more boring than practical!"

Sweatdropping, Mai closed her bag. "And yet you still answered every question perfectly."

"I didn't mean to!" The blonde idol protested, then sighed. "That aside, Tsubaki is meeting us at the gym, right?"

Mai nodded. "We should start-"

"Before you go, I'd like to talk to you, Amamiya-lovely."

Standing in front of their desk was their teacher, Chisaka Kaoru. Hinata smirked.

"I'll meet you there, then~"

"Wait, Hina-chan!"

But she had already run off, leaving Mai and Kaoru alone in the classroom. Mai looked to the floor. She hadn't done anything wrong, had she? The only work she had so far was the photoshoot, and she couldn't remember anything going particularly wrong. Hinata made a snarky remark or two, but she wasn't the one called back, so it couldn't be that. Mai froze. There wasn't a misunderstanding about that, was there?

Noticing his student's anxiety, Kaoru gave a reassuring grin.

"Amamiya-lovely, you've been asked to attend an audition to be the image girl of a brand of stationery."

It took a second for Mai to process what she had just been told. "R-really?"

Kaoru nodded. "They saw your recent photoshoot and thought you were a good fit. The audition itself is in a weeks time. You'll be asked to perform in a rare coord from a brand of your choice."

"Oh, I haven't-"

"I figured that," He stated, taking Mai by surprise, "Which is why I thought I'd tell you more about that Macaron Stars Coord you wore at your last audition."

"The Macaron Stars Coord?"

"Nanami-sensei is a friend of the designer of that coord, Shiraishi Ai. In fact, Shiraishi-san is currently working on producing her own brand - Pastel Macaron. It's due to be revealed next week, the very same day as the audition. It's a brand that suits you well, and I'm sure Shiraishi-san would be willing to lend you a coord."

"Really?"

Kaoru nodded once again. "I can set up an appointment for you to meet if you want."

Mai couldn't help herself from smiling brightly.

"I'd love that, thank you so much!"

"You were invited to an audition?! Lucky!" Hinata exclaimed, and Mai gave a small smile. She, Hinata and Tsubaki were all standing in the gymnasium, discussing Mai's audition.

"Apparently they thought I'd fit after seeing our photoshoot," She explained, "I'm not sure why, though..."

Hinata pouted. "I wish they'd noticed me too."

"Hinata." Tsubaki raised her eyebrow, causing the blonde-haired girl to pout more.

"What? I'm just as cute as Mai-chan, and just as fabulous as Tsubaki! It's a double package."
