Emerald's P.O.V

I woke up to my alarm going off. Dang, today is Monday, which means school is starting. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. Ruby was not in her bed, which means she was already showering. I stood up and began to rummage through my drawers. I grabbed the clothes I was going to change into and walked into the bathroom just as Ruby was finished wrapping her towel around herself. She walked out of the bathroom and I turned on the water. I stripped from my sleepwear and jumped in the shower. Once I finished showering I jumped out and dried my hair. I changed into a green a line dress with 3/4 sleeves, black booty shorts and green GoGo ankle boots. I left my hair down, curly and brushed my teeth. After I finished, I walked out of the bathroom and entered my room to see Ruby in a red a line dress with 3/4 sleeves, black booty shorts and red GoGo ankle boots.

"We are looking good," I chuckled.

"Yes we are," Ruby chuckled as she braided her hair.

"I'm sad neither of us are able to perform today," I shrugged.

"Same," Ruby nodded as she started doing her makeup.

I started my makeup as I glanced at my clock. 7:30am. We have an hour to get to school. I finished my makeup a Ruby did also. I grabbed my green Jansport backpack and grabbed my things that I haven't backed yet. I put my charger, gum, hand sanitizer, airpods and lip balm in my front pocket. I grabbed my resume and put it in the big pocket. Ruby did the same but added two binders into her red Jansport backpack. I walked over to the bookshelf and grabbed a light green binder and a bright green binder. I zipped up the big pocked and walked out of the bedroom along with Ruby.

"Hey girls," Mom smiled, "How did you both sleep?"

"I slept really good," Ruby nodded.

"I had a nightmare last night but what's new," I shrugged.

"You guys ready for your first day of school?" Mom asked.

"I guess so," Ruby and I stated as we sat down and ate breakfast.

"Do you like the waffles and strawberries?" Mom asked.

"Why so many questions?" Josh asked from the doorway.

"Listen here," Mom laughed.

"Listen here," Josh mocked.

"You guys are too much," Ruby laughed.

"Can we take our first day picture and then leave?" I chuckled.

"Yeah, stand up you two," Mom chuckled.

Ruby and I stood up and walked over to Mom. We hugged each other's side and smiled as mom took a few pictures. We then grabbed our bags and walked out to meet everyone. Liam was ready along with Theo. We walked down the stairs to the main lobby to see Amethyst, Kian Jr, Ana and Kian. We walked over to them and we hugged Amethyst. We took first day pictures, some nice and then some goofy pictures. We made our way out of the apartment building and started walking to the school. We continued our way until we reached the building.

"Well this is where we leave you," Ana smiled.

"Well not me, that's for sure," Mom smiled.

"Ugh," Ruby whined, "Why not?"

"Because I don't want the school thinking that you can miss your job," Mom nodded.

"Yeah," I chuckled, "I would like to perform matinees."

"Same," Theo chuckled.

Ana, Kian, Josh and Cameron waited by the entrance as we all made our way inside. Some people gasped and even pointed at Mom. I rolled my eyes and tried best to ignore it. We walked into the auditorium and I smiled. We sat in the risers and Ruby pulled out her phone getting a text.
