A/N Welcome to my story. Oh jeez, that sounded weird. Another story yay.

Annabeth POV:

"Annabeth! Thalia! Get up, and stop being so lazy!" my oh-so nice and patient mother called.

"Yes, mother", I replied in my practically dead state as I slowly rolled off my stack of hay that I call my bed. I quickly got up, patted down my bird's nest of hair and I decided to start my day since I did not feel like getting beat by a broom. Thalia, my sister, was still dead asleep, drool coming off her mouth in waterfalls.

Oh, how rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Annabeth Chase, which most of you already know. Ok, that's about all you have to know for the time being, let's move on.

So, as I was trying to shake my sister awake since she was being a lazy pain in the butt, my father, Fredrick, decided to wake up at that moment.

"What are you girls doing being so lazy?" Father yelled, jolting my brother, Malcolm awake in the process.

"Father, I'm just-", I started. This has happened on many separate occasions and every single time, I was doing something that I shouldn't have been blamed for but was blamed for anyways. And every single time, I tried to explain, but couldn't.

"You don't talk unless I tell you to, young lady, be more like your mother", Father cutting me off, eyes cold as Antarctica.

"Yes, Father", I said, my head down.

"And Thalia Chase!" Father continued, going off on my sister. "Get up and get me my tea! Or rather call your blasted mother to do it". My sister was very much awake at that moment and mumbled a "yes, Father" whilst getting up.

When Thalia was in her pre-teens, she was brave enough to talk back to Father (earning her many slaps but that's beside the point). I admired Thalia for that since I would never be able to.

"You, Annie!" Father called again. "Go to your mother and do what she tells you".

"Yes Father", my mouth replied.

So, I followed Thalia out the door.

I entered the kitchen to find my Mother cooking, probably for Father and Malcolm, with a slumped figure and tired eyes. I felt bad for her but I wish she wouldn't take her stress and anger out on me and Thals. Malcolm said that Mother used to be so happy and bright when she wasn't under so much stress from Father and used to be so loving towards Malcolm, before Thalia and I were born. But then, Father came along with some wealth and Mother's parents forced her to divorce her husband at the time and marry Father. She pleaded with her mother and father to let her keep Malcolm, considering that her husband was very loving and understood her pain of leaving Malcolm. So, he let her keep him if her parents agreed. After some convincing and rebelling, her parents agreed and married her off to Father, worst event in her life. It makes me shiver thinking that Father might force me to marry some rich man with a horrible personality.

So, yes Thalia is my biological sister and Malcolm is our half- brother. I still loved him as much as Thalia though, since he didn't threaten us like Father nor boss us around like Mother. Father didn't like Malcolm just because he was a child of a different man, but he was a man nevertheless and got special treatment. Soon, though, he will be living in a different city, Demigod City, and he won't always be there for Thalia and I when Father went on a rampage.

But anyways, now, Father has a steady income that was middle class which was better than Mother's living conditions before. But even though she had better living conditions, she wasn't happy. I try to be a good daughter and help her around the house but she's so mean to me that sometimes I just wanted to give up.
