jack and zach made their way inside the party seeing a bunch of people they didn't know.

"i'm going to get a drink," zach said walking off into the big crowd.

jack tried to catch up, but he couldn't find the boy anywhere.

zach on the other hand wasn't going to get a drink, he was trying to find lainey.

he went around the party until he found the girl sitting outside.

"the party's inside," she said, until she saw it was zach.

"i should be telling you that, why are you out here alone?" he asked.

"waiting for you," she smiled.

he couldn't lie, in the last couple weeks they've been hanging out, he was in fact catching feelings for the girl.

he wished he wasn't, but he was.

it had started to rain, so lainey grabbed his hand pulling him out into the wet road. by now it was pouring rain.

she danced around in the rain making the boy laugh.

"i can't believe we're doing this," he said, laughing, clearly having a good time.

"just shh, and enjoy the moment," she said, sweetly.

she done a twirl before zach grabbed her arm and passionately kissed her like in the movies.

"zach?" jack asked.

clearly shocked zach pulled her back up, "w-what are you doing out here?"

"i said i'd watch you," he said. "what's kennedy gonna say?"

"she isn't going to say because she'll never know," he said.

"you better tell her, or make it worse and i'll tell her," jack said, walking away, clearly pissed at the fact he cheated on the poor girl.

"i-i have to go," zach said, realizing the fact he'd just cheated on the girl he loved.

he ran as fast as he could to the girls house, finally making it, knocking until she opened the door.

"zach? stay in here everly i'll be back," she said, closing the door behind her.

"what are you doing here and why didn't you drive?" she asked, giggling, "you're soaked."

"w-wait, why are you crying?" she asked, wiping away his tears.

"i've been hiding the fact i was friends with an old friend, which is a girl, and tonight i realized i had feeling for her and i kissed her," zach rambled, tears falling out of his eyes.

zach seen as the girls face went pale.

"you w-what," she said, tears starting to fall.

"i'm sorry," he said, trying to hug her.

"no," she said, "i-i don't think i can d-do this." she said pulling off the promise ring before giving it to him.

"i hope it fits her," she said, walking back inside.
she backed up on the door to close it before sliding down, crying her eyes out.

"kennedy!" everly yelled. "what's wrong, talk to me."

"h-he h-has f-f-feeling for a-another g-girl!" she cried.

"kennedy, i'm so sorry," everly continued to comfort her.

zach listening in on the other side of the door, also crying his eyes out. realizing he promised never to break her heart, but failed.

after that tragic day they planed a month away to tybee island, georgia.

"you ready?" asked everly.

"yea," kennedy said, wiping away the tear that slipped before driving to the airport.
