I walked down the sidewalk, my hands and underarms filled with bags of my sweet n' loving mom, my annoying older brothers- Owen, Marcus and Chase- and my two younger sisters-Marie and Anya.

"Mom, why are we moving?" Owen asked taking his bag away from me.
"You know why sweetie" my mother said starting up the RV and helping baby Anya in her seat.
It was a hot summer morning in Texas, everyone was tired and sleepy because it was nine in the morning.

"Yeah... I wasn't really paying attention."
"We're going to New York because the biggest bank chain has gave me a loan to start my own business up there" she said giving Owen a glare as she buckled up little Anya.
"What I had something in my..... ear" Owen said hesitating.
"You always have something in your ear" she said walking towards me and taking some bags off me.

"It must be heavy sweetie" she said in her little accent that honestly everyone loves.
"No mom it's fine" I said.
"Why don't you go say bye to Ashley, looks like she's waiting for you"' she said her eyes looking at my best friend since the first grade, Ashley.
I bit my lip, holding back my tears and ran to hug her.
"I'm going to miss ya darling" Ashley said patting my back while hugging me.
"FaceTime?"
"FaceTime."
"Maybe FaceTime will be our always" I said laughing while wiping away the tears with the back of my hand.
"You always know just what to say." she smiled at me and hugged me again.
"I'll miss ya Ash"
"I'll miss ya too Maya"

We chatted for a while until my mother called me and told me we're leaving.
"As soon as I get some wifi I promise ya that the first thing I'll do is FaceTime ya so keep your FaceTime on, okay?"
"No worries Maya, just call me when you get to New York and send me a bunch of photos and postcards and mail and-"
I cut her off, " Okay okay sheesh" I said shaking my head, laughing like someone just cracked the funniest joke ever.

"Maya!" my mother said calling out for me again.
"Coming!" I turned around and then back at Ashley.
We hugged one last time and did out little handshake, then I ran off to the RV.

Owen, Chase and Marcus were already in the car and so was Anya.
Me and Marie hopped into the RV.

Marie out of all siblings, was closest to me. First reason why, she's the closest age to me. I mean literally, Owen is almost twenty-six, Marcus is twenty, Chase is eighteen, then it's me the sixteen year old girl, then Marie is fifteen and Anya is well just a baby.

Me and Marie get along just great. No fights, well most of the times, and we don't ever and I mean ever fight over the remote. Everyone in my family does that except for me and Marie. She understands how I feel, if I need to talk about it or not, what's going on and she never annoys me. Unlike some annoying brothers cough cough.

"It's going to be hard, leaving the perfectness of Texas and moving to a big city." Marie said looking out the window.
"Exactly." I said, my eyes filling with tears but not letting them show by putting my head down.

I think she knew about the tears filling in my eyes. "There's a good side too though!" she said cheery and trying to make me look up.
So I did look up and my tears were gone. I smiled. "True."

Anya started screaming because Chase accidentally pulled her hair and Owen started yelling at them to shut
up while Marcus yelled from the bathroom "IM TRYING TO DO MY BUSINESS IN PEACE!" Then Marie joined in saying "Shhh" and "Shut up" then eventually I joined in by pushing Chase and then he pushed me back and then Anya started crying, Owen covered his ears, Marcus was still yelling and Marie was screaming "SHUT UP" every time Marcus said anything. "IM TRYING TO DRIVE!" my mom said from the front seat looking through the review mirror. Everything and everyone went silent.

There you are, another day in the life of the Carter family.

"What business are you going to start?" Marcus asked coming out of the bathroom and sitting next to Chase.
"I don't know yet, any ideas?" she said looking into the review mirror again.
"Flower shop?" Marie said.
"Video game shop?" Chase said.
" Maybe a school?" Owen said looking at mom, who was sitting right next to him.
"Shop for clothes?" Marcus said.
"Coffee shop?" I said, running my hand through my hair.

"Say that again" she said.
Everyone said their ideas again.
"No, Maya say that again."
"Coffee shop?" I said unsure why she wanted me to repeat my stupid idea.
"Yeah that, I like it. We can sell baked goods too! Oh I have it all in my head." she said putting her one hand on her forehead while driving with the other.
Everyone shrugged and nodded with agreement, except for Anya of course.

Mother put her other hand back on the driving wheels.
We drove for a few hours until it was night time, by now Owen was already driving and everyone will still yapping and talking and yelling and screaming and singing and dancing and having the best time ever.
Then mother told us we could watch a movie on the TV, which we had put in the RV, until we were sleepy and wanted to sleep.

We all picked the movie "Trading Places", that old movie had us laughing so hard that our stomachs started to hurt and then we watched another movie after that called "The Naked Gun" and we laughed and laughed until everyone was sleepy and we all fell asleep.

It was one fun day, but I'm going to miss the good old Texas.
