Maia's POV
A beam of sunlight was coming through the window hitting my eyes. I gently opened them and saw Josiah sleeping like a baby. I looked over an opened my phone "Ugh it only 7:00 am and it's only Tuesday?" I mumbled. I laid back down an keep staring at the ceiling. I was gently falling asleep, until my phone buzzed. I looked at the name and it flashed ROMAN.
"Hello?" I mumbled. "Hi Maia its Roman." he said nervously. "I know who you are. What do you want?" I asked annoyed. "I wanted to know if you and Josiah would like to go get breakfast?" he asked. "Ummm sure what time and where?" I asked. "IHOP and at 10." he said. "Sure ttyl." I said and hung up. I looked over at Josiah and he was staring me with his brown eyes. "Morning Mommy." he yawned. "Morning sleep head." I smiled. "Who was on the phone?" "Your father he wants us to go to breakfast at 10 so go take a shower." I told him. Once I said that he jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom. I laughed at first I thought he was playing he. I heard the water running.
TEN MINUTES LATER.
"Mommy I done." I heard him yell. I looked and saw him holding the towel and shivering. "Go get changed then." "Can I choose what to wear?" he asked. I thought about it, "Hmm yes you can." I told him, he smiled and ran into the bedroom. "Am going to take a quick shower." I yelled at him. "Okay." "Do not I repeat do not open the door for nobody!" I yelled before entering the bathroom. "Okay mommy!" he yelled.
I took a quick shower and changed, I put on my undergarments on and the shield women's tank top with black pants. I looked over and saw the clock said 9:45, "Okay Josiah we need to get going." "Okay mommy." I grabbed my purse while he got his jacket, We got to the car, "Mom what if dad wants you back?" Josiah asked. "Umm am not sure Siah, it might take time to get back together." "Oh okay." I looked through the rear view mirror his face didn't show any mood.
We drove silently to Ihop, once there we parked and got out the room. I held on to Josiahs hand, once we entered I saw Roman waiting. We walked up to him, "Hey Roman." once I said that it brought a smile to his face. "Hey Maia thanks for meeting with me. Josiah my man how are you?" He said as Josiah ran into his arms. I couldn't help but smile, my heart melted. i always wanted my family back together I just couldnt bare saying that to Roman.
"Thanks for meeting me here with Josiah." "No problem he wanted to see his father ever since I came back and brought hi m with me." I looked over at Josiah who was staring at me and his father. "What you looking at?" "Oh nothing just how awesome my parents are." he said all smiling. " Well I am pretty awesome so is your mother." Roman said looking at me."Thats right am a cool mother." I said laughing. Roman gave me a weird look "What about me?" "Oh yeah your an awesome father also." I said staring back st him. We talked through the whole breakfast, I havent really noticed how Josiah loves having his family as one. Until today the way he smiles and laughs. Once breakfast was over Roman paid the bill and walked us to the car. Josiah gave him a hug and climbed to the backseat, I closed the door. "So I was wondering if I can take you out to dinner tonight?" Roman asked nervously. I thought about it, I still didnt trust him but I gotta give him a chance. "Yes you can, I'll ask Aj and Punk if they can watch Josiah tonight." "That be nice." he said and walked off. "Oh Roman!" I yelled out. He turned around "Yeah?" I looked in the car and saw Josiah staring at me. I looked back at Roman " Am not doing this for you or me, am doing it for Josiah." I can tell he was upset "Okay thats fine." he yelled back and left.
