The Diner

It was around 4pm when Jack and Mabel were packing up from their vacation.
"Oh Jack don't you just wish we could stay here by this lovely lake."
"I know darling don't worry we will come back next year."
"Oh honey I think I left my purse in the kitchen could you please get that for me?i need to fold up my clothes."
"Of course sweetie."
Mabels POV
I was thinking of the very first time I came here it was 15 years ago; Wednesday 18th May 2005 mine and jacks anniversary.
End Of Mabels POV
"Honey I have it."
"Ohh yes thank you darling."
Mabel said as she kissed Jack on his smooth,red lips.
—a few hours later—
Jack and Mabel were now driving threw the night as the clouds became dark,the wind howled and rain went from just drops to a waterfall.
"Darling we need to find——."
Jack was cut off as something sped past the car causing him to have an emergency break slam.
He hurried out the car to find nothing in front of it he asked Mabel what it was and if she saw it she said...
"I thought it was a child."
"Impossible they wouldn't be that fast and they would have bled but there is no blood out here."
Mabel got out to have a look herself and came to realise that Jack was right but she needed something to take this all off of her mind.
"LOOK!! It's a diner maybe we can get a coffee and a meal to get back focused."
Jack slowly nodded
So there the couple went hand in hand but they were not prepared for what happens next.
The diner was truely beautiful and Mabel couldn't possible despite why it was in such a terrible town it's the type of diner the kardashians would be in.
"Hi welcome to Carters Diner how may I help you both?" A nice and gorgeous lady said with a huge grin on her face
"Hi I'm Mabel and this is my husband Jack, could we get some coffee and maybe just some toast please?"
"Sure thing and remember if you need anything I will be back here."the lady said pointing to a door
—a few minutes later—
The lady came out with food in hand and shortly after so did a man.
"Hello there and thank you so much for visiting my name is Dan and this is my lovely wife Rose."
The two couples laughed and giggled so hard until it was time to go they hugged each other but just before they went out the door; Rose stopped Mabel and put her hand on her tummy and said oh isn't she lovely. Mabel assumes that Rose thought she was pregnant but she didn't correct her because she felt it was wrong to correct someone and that is her belief.Jack looked at the clock and it said 5:43am so that meant he must get home soon.
—half an hour later—
Jack and Mabel stopped by at a gas station and as they got gas they couldn't stop talking about how nice Dan and Rose were but suddenly a man around his 50's came out the shop and said...
"I know what such a tragedy I miss them too don't worry."
Jack questioned the man
"Oh Dan and Rose burned in a terrible fire a couple years ago and the diner went down with it as well as there child and ever since people say that the child still runs past people's cars and if you see there ghosts then Rose can get people to have children they didn't want."
Jack and Mabel got into the car and immediately started driving and the whole ride was silent not a word spoke.
Obviously the pregnancy thing was a joke right or was it...
A year later Mabel gave birth to a baby girl on the 18th May 5:43am and she named it Rose but after a week she never remembered giving birth to it nor naming it.
