Siddharth's PoV

When dad dropped the bomb I knew there's no way I am doing this. I don't trust in relationships. they creates boundaries in life and I personally think I can't handle that.

I am for sure going to talk to dad about it. He's the only one who'll understand me since mom is just head over heels in love with that girl.

Realisation hits me hard I don't even know her name or I don't remember it. One thing is for sure that girl got guts and confidence. We meet before but like most of the girl she don't throw herself on me. She's just someone who should stay away from me as much as she can.

"Papa I can't marry her you know I can't commit to anyone that I barely know" he was having coffee when I started the conversation. I was thinking about it last night and I know he will understand.

"But why beta you're already twenty nine when are you planning to settle down"

"No anytime soon for sure" that all I had to answer him.

"Come have breakfast with me we can talk about it" dad politely asked which is not to be neglected so I settled on the chair.

"Now tell me what is it Sidharth? What's bothering you so much"

"Papa you're seriously asking me this I don't even know this girl's name and out of blue I'm supposed to marry her how can I, it's impossible." I told him honestly.

"Kareena kapoor, her name is kareena kapoor pursing her MBA she's nice girl beta you have to know each other"

"No papa I can't she's so different" I only had this card to pull.

"So what she's a good girl and don't forget it's your grandfather's last wish as a grandson don't you think you can do that for him"

No no no he's not playing fair he knows how much I loved my grandfather. I can do anything and everything for him but I can't get married to a Stanger. Right?

"No dad you can't make me do this...it's blackmailing and it's not fair" I know I sound like a kid but I am a kid by heart how can I handle a wife when I can't even handle a girlfriend.

"Listen beta there's no way we can get by this, let me tell you something" I am too pissed to change the topic but he continued anyway.

"Your grandfather and her grandfather was great friends they both started business of thier own. They both are the top most profit making companies we know. We both meet at the conference held in Chennai after so long. We were just talking about the merger that can bring us more stars that we already own if both the companies combines it will be a win win situation. But when next day we went to consult our lawyer your grandfather's lawyer came and told us that Your grandfather's will had a part where it clearly states that you have to get married before thirty otherwise all the companies fifty percent will go to charity work dispite of the amount goes to charity"

I did not knew about that why didn't he told me.

"Why did you not told me about that"I just had to ask papa because I can not make out anything.

"That's not it beta there was a clause where it clearly States that you have to marry kareena only then only the merger can take place and we both know how profitable Kapoor's and Malhotra industry can make together"

I am shocked why would grandpa do this to me maybe dad noticed it. He only smiled at my way which is confusing as hell.

"Dad do you want me to marry her for business" that's all I grabbed from his conversation.

"Kind of but kareena is a nice girl beta your grandpa meet her when he visited here and he told me about her but I didn't took it that seriously certainly he did." He have this sad smile on his face which always comes when grandpa's topic comes.

"I'll think about it dad. But don't hold your hopes up" I have to leave before he charms me into saying yes. I hugged him and left to go to work.

Kareena's PoV

I know I can't stay in bed for whole day just dodging what mom dad wanted to talk.

Finally after thinking about the whole thing for whole night I came up with nothing now only my parents can help me.

When I entered dinning room mom rushed to my side.

"Come beta have some breakfast we're here to answer all your questions"she said with such love and concern that makes me relax atleast they have answers.

After having some eggs toast and orange juice we three went to drawing room since today is a Sunday that means we will have faimly time.

"Are you fine beta?" Dad asked and I just nodded.

"Dad why, why him and why now I have my studies left I even have a job now I want to achieve something's before I tie the knot" I blurrted out with my eyes getting unwelcomed moisture.

"Beta even we did not wanted to do this but right now our company is not that stable as it used to be" he walked towards the slide in door while I am  shocked I didn't knew about that he continued "we are barely surviving that's why I went to Chennai where fortunately I meet your Malhotra uncle and I told him about the issues company facing he took it very seriously and suggested a merger and I agreed" he stopped for a while and turned around facing me.

"But dad you never told me about this I would've helped you with company" I know I can't be a much help much I think I could've helped.

"I know beta I should've but things were a little rough when we went to see lawyer the next day he informed us about your and Sidharth's grandpa's will which states that companies merger will happen only if you will marry Sidharth that's why we agreed and there's no pressure on you love it's your choice you can decide maybe meet sidhath a few times" dad took my hand into his hand and said.

"He's not a bad guy beta we've know them for so long that's the only reason I'm considering it and moreover his grandpa's will also states that if he don't marries you his fifty percent shares will go to some charity which is not that good for them especially him he has given his everything to company"

The more dad tells me the more confusing I get. what sick game our grandpa played with us matchmaking before we were able to wear pants by ourselves.

"It's all upto you beta you know we love you a lot even more than our company if you don't want this than its totally fine we can just try something else you don't have to get worried" this time it's mom she must've noticed my pale face that's why she put her hand on mine and squeezed it giving me assurance.

"I will think about it dad don't worry everything will be fine" with that being said I went upstairs to my room I have some serious stuff to think about. It's not only a me now it's about our company too. Only anjali can make me feel good. I called her.
