A Man was seen staring out the window by his wife while in his office.

"Sweetheart. What are you looking at? Is there something out there that I should see as well?"

"No sweetie. There is nothing to be seen."

The Man turned and walked away slowly. His hands clasped together as though there was thunder booming through the house. The only thing to be seen out of the window was a pile of rocks stacked atop one another upon the dead grass. There was a constant, smoky fog that covered any sign of vegetation within the window's view except the pile of rocks. Nothing more. Nothing is what the Man saw yet he still took time to look at the pile of rocks frequently every day. His wife was very confused as to why her husband did this and thought that maybe if she continuously asked, she would figure out what captivated her husband so much to do so.

The next day, the wife approached her husband giving him a deadly stare by his side as he gazed out the window. This time there was a gun laying on the windowsill.

"Honey. What is that gun doing there on the windowsill? Please put it away."

"I just need to try something. It is a new...experiment I'm doing."

"Well, I don't think I like this new experiment too much. Put it away immediately."

The Man swiftly took the gun off the sill and placed it back in the drawer in his desk. He had a countenance of interest and confusion on his face but said nothing else. He returned to the window to take a quick peek outside and returned to his desk to finish his work.

The next morning, the Man was staring blankly out of the window at the pile of rocks while his wife staggered towards the door of his office.

"Darling. Please come back to bed. It is 5:00 in the morning. What are you doing up so early?"

The Man turned to look at his wife. With one continuous motion he smiled, turned back to the window, and banged his head against the window. His wife screamed in shock of what her husband had just done.

"Dearest! What has caused you to do this?!"

The Man simply walked away from the window towards his wife and hugged her while laughing. A bump was beginning to form on the top right corner of his forehead. His wife only smiled in nervousness and took the Man back to bed.

Around 10:00 that night, the wife was awakened by a loud popping noise. It seemed to have come from her husband's office. As she walked in, she noticed her husband's body lying limp across the floor beneath the window near the gun she had previously told him to put away. She screamed in terror and sadness as she walked towards the Man's body. As she cried, she began to look out the window at the pile of rocks just sitting there. Then, she stopped crying and got up to call the police. She went back to bed and fell asleep.

Morning began to show and the wife had awoken to find her husband's body gone in his office. She wept a little but came to an immediate stop. When she turned to walk back to bed, she noticed a gleam of light coming from the window. The wife walked carefully towards the window hoping for something to happen. But all she saw was the pile of rocks that sat the day before. It was as if she began to stare into a black hole focusing on nothing but the rocks.

The next day came once again and the wife was sipping coffee at her husband's desk. When a bell on the clock rang, she got up and went to fetch a blanket from her bedroom. She came back with a silk, blue blanket and walked towards the window. She stood on a chair in front of the window and proceeded to use the blanket in covering up the window. She got back down and walked out of the office closing the door behind her.

Even though she covered the window, she still had a feeling or an urge to walk to the window to look outside of it and see what was there.
