Thick Air

"Ahm.. We can be a live in."

He laughed with annoyance in his voice.

"Why? Do you have a boyfriend?".

Tumayo ako at humakbang palapit sa kinatatayuan nya. I'm a bit shaking and annoyed.

Did he really think that I have a boyfriend because if I have, I wouldn't even consider to live with him no matter the circumstances was.

Kaya ko lang naman inoffer na mag live in na lang muna kami dahil sa kontrata ko.

"Hah!..."

This man is really impossible. He doesn't seems to be like this before or maybe he is. I just didn't notice because we weren't that close enough for me to notice this kind of attitude of him.

"... If I have a boyfriend, I wouldn't even consider to live in with you." I said with my voice a bit loud.

Zee's face went back to being blank and his eyes still dark, and still starring at me.

"Then be my wife." He said with a tone of finality, not giving me a choice.

I sighed. If I marry him, I can just hide it right? We can make our marriage a secret but what if he ask me? What would I say? Will I tell him about the contract? But.... the Starlight and M.A, I don't want to disappoint them. Gosh!

"Fine then. But I want our marriage to be a secret."

His face darkened. I can see the visible refusal in his face. He looked away. I waited for him to say something but he remained silent.

The silence stretch and we remained in our position.

I decided to break the ice and spoke. "So. Ahm. It settled right? I'll have my company back in exchange of me....

He looked at me with his eyes serious than ever. I stopped what I was about to say, not minding where my words end and how bad it would be when heard.

"Yeah. But pack your clothes and start living with me."

Wala na nga akong nagawa kundi ang pumayag na sa kagustuhan nya. Pakiramdam ko kasi kapag tumanggi pa ako ay tuluyan na akong mawalan ng chance na makuha ang kompanya.

Just like what he said, he doesn't need money. Doon pa lang sa sinabi nya na 'yon, nawalan na ako ng pag asa kaya hindi ko na 'to palalampasin.

"Ah.. turn right. Stop when you see the mint green color na gate." I said, I don't know if he still remember where my house is.

I'm sitting beside Zee who's now in the driver seat. We're heading now to my house to get my clothes. I was shocked when he said that I should start living with him but I was more shocked when he meant today.

Pagkapark ng sasakyan ay bumaba agad ako, may iilang nakatingin pero walang nagtangkang magtanong. Naglakad ako papasok sa bahay. Sumunod naman si Zee.

"You can wait here while I pack." Mentioning the couch. Umupo naman sya pero ang mga mata ay wala na sa akin. Hinayaan ko na lang sya dahil madami pa akong kailangang gawin.

"Ah. Do you want anything? Juice, coffee?" alangan

Noon lang sya bumaling sa akin, mas gusto yatang tignan ang paligid kaysa sa akin.

"No but thank you."

Umiwas ito ng tingin kaya nagpasya na rin akong umalis. Wala si Ate Xyla dahil dumalaw sa mga dating kasamahan sa pulisya.
