The next day comes by slower since I wasn't able to sleep with Moon keeping me awake with her babbling. I got off of my bed slowly, my vision going black for a few short seconds. I placed my hand on my forehead and groaned. I hate it when that happens. I glanced around the room, not finding Moon anywhere. I stand up and change for school, putting on my red hoodie and placing Moons' hoodie on my bed. I'm starting to wonder where she is.
"I'm right here, moron." I heard Moon snicker somewhere around my room.
"Where are you?" I asked, glancing around.
"In your head."
I glanced up, expecting to see her on the ceiling.
"I just facepalmed, just to let you know."
"When?" I asked, grabbing my backpack and stuffing my undid homework inside.
"Like, right now?" Moon said bluntly.
"No, when did I ask?" I chuckled as I put my backpack over my shoulders and walked out of my bedroom door.
"No, but maybe you SHOULD have," Moon growled.
I ignored her and slowly walked down the hall, trying to hear if anyone was home, but the only sound I was able to hear was my racing heartbeat. My breath started to shake a bit when I stepped foot in the living room. I saw no one was home. Still. I let out a heavy relieving sigh.
"How long has it been since you've eaten?" Moon asked.
"Uh, not very long," I answered her shortly, putting on my dirty white converse and walking out the front door.
"Okay first off, don't lie to me. Second, go back inside, I'll make you something."
I stopped walking, "Y-you will?" I stuttered, "But there's nothing for you to make." I added.
"Just go back," Moon said, feeling her tug on me somehow.
I sighed and turned around, halting when I saw Moon in front of me. She glanced at me for a second and sighed. "Anything you feel, I can feel." She explained. She pointed at my belly, "Your hunger? I can feel." She grabbed my hand and snapped her fingers, instantly transporting us to the kitchen. She sat me down on the kitchen table chairs. "Think of something you want,"
"Uh... Blueberry pancakes?" I asked shyly.
She giggled at me and snapped her fingers again, making my dish pop up in front of me. A plate of two fluffy blueberry pancakes, syrup slowly coming down the sides and a small slice of butter sitting on top of them. I glance at it in disbelief. I poked it, earning another soft giggle from Moon. She handed me a knife and fork. I grabbed it and dug in hungrily. I didn't really savor each bite, I was too hungry. Once I was done, (in a matter of 5 minutes) I glanced at Moon and smiled, "Thanks."
She shrugged. "Time for school," She said, causing me to remember that we still need to walk thirty minutes to school.
I groaned, "We're gonna be late."
"Not on my watch," She said as she snapped her fingers. We teleported somewhere cramped, I glance around to notice it was a bathroom stall. I glance at her in confusion. "Would you like for us to do that into a large crowd of people?" She asked me, walking out of the stall.
I sighed and followed her out, getting some glares from girls that were already in the bathroom.
"Just say you're a new student," I said to Moon. She nodded at me and walked in class with me. I sat in my assigned seat while Moon stood there awkwardly by the door.
"Can I help you?" My first-period teacher, Mr. Floors said to Moon, his glasses halfway down his nose.
"U-Uhm, I'm a new student here?" She said simply, acting nervous. Once the teacher glanced away she went a wink my way.
"I was never notified I would be getting a new student," Mr. Floors said as he was glancing at his computer, scrolling down his email. "May I see your schedule?"
I felt my heartbeat race as I saw Moon freeze. "U-uh of course." She said simply, placing her hands behind her back and silently snapping her fingers, making a fake schedule appear. She handed it to him.
He took it and analyzed it, "Okay." He said while sighing. "Your seat is next to Francine." He pointed at some girl with glasses, who was too busy eating chips to notice anything. She nodded and took her seat. "It's still early and nobody is here yet so just find something to do."
I smiled and Moon and got one back, today was gonna be fun.
